It is an international organization for individuals aged 18 and above who are committed to making a difference in their communities and beyond. Rotaract is a service club for young people ages 18 to 30 who are dedicated to finding innovative solutions to the worldโ€™s most pressing challenges while developing leadership skills and making friends from around the world.

Queroda of our club, the Rotaract Club of Midtown Butuan โ€“ CSU Chapter, witnessed a meaningful and inspiring moment during ๐๐š๐ง๐ฎ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐š: ๐ƒ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐œ๐ญ ๐ˆ๐ง๐๐ฎ๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐‚๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ข๐ž๐ฌ of the Rotaract Leadership Learning Seminar 2026 in Tagum City.

One of the highlights of the evening was the induction of our incoming District Rotaract Representative, Christian Jade G. Azura, together with the formal induction of our very own incoming President Nhykole H. Rufin. It was a proud and memorable moment as new leaders stepped forward, ready to take on their roles and responsibilities.

The ceremony reflected the essence of leadership, stepping up with commitment, embracing responsibility, and preparing to serve with purpose. Surrounded by fellow Rotaractors and Rotarians, the night became a celebration of unity, trust, and a shared vision for the future.

As these leaders begin their journey in the upcoming Rotary Year 2026โ€“2027, they carry with them the Rotary theme "Create Lasting Impact", serving as a reminder that leadership goes beyond titles, but is rooted in dedication, action, and making a difference in the community.

During the General Plenary and PELSโ€“SELS, our delegates gained valuable insights and practical learnings that will help guide them in leading the club with purpose, excellence, and service-driven leadership.

Some of the notable discussions during the General Plenary focused on proper decorum and formalities in meetings and events, what it means to become an impact-building leader, and the importance of seeing Rotary and Rotaract as one collaborative movement working toward a shared mission.

Meanwhile, the PELSโ€“SELS sessions provided a deeper understanding of how to become effective and impactful leaders, along with key responsibilities and functions of both the President and Secretary. These sessions helped equip them with the knowledge and confidence needed to take on their roles.

The seminar emphasized the importance of proper order and decorum during formal events and meetings, the value of creating impactful and sustainable community projects, and the unity between Rotary and Rotaract in pursuing a shared mission of service above self. Through every session and interaction, the event reinforced the idea that leadership is not only about guiding others, but also about inspiring positive change within the community.

The event gathered high school student leaders from various schools across Butuan City, alongside members of the Butuan City Youth Development Council (BCYDC), creating a collaborative space for learning, sharing, and innovation.

Participants explored sustainable practices such as gardening for mental well-being, disaster-ready food production, water-efficient techniques, and urban farming entrepreneurship.

As part of the BCYDC, our club actively engaged in discussions, sharing our knowledge, exchanging ideas, and contributing insights on agriculture and sustainable living. Through this initiative, we continue to strengthen our commitment to empowering communities and promoting a greener, more resilient future.

The Rotaract Club of Midtown Butuan โ€“ CSU Chapter proudly took part in the 12th Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) held on April 24โ€“26, 2026 at Alta Bohol Garden Resort.
