The Pride Month Celebration held on June 11, 2026 at Robinsons Mall Butuan was actively participated in by the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) โ€“ Brgy. Buhangin Chapter. This activity aimed to promote awareness, acceptance, equality, and respect for diversity within the community, particularly among the youth. It provided an opportunity for young people to learn about the importance of inclusivity, human dignity, and the value of embracing differences.

The celebration served as a meaningful platform for youth development by encouraging self-expression, confidence, social responsibility, and active citizenship. Through participation in Pride Month activities, PYAP members gained a deeper understanding of human rights, empathy, and community engagement, helping them become more responsible and compassionate individuals.

The success of the activity was made possible through the active involvement and support of PYAP members, including Jemwell Polinga, who demonstrated commitment to promoting unity, respect, and youth participation. PYAP SERVICE CARAVAN 2nd Meeting

The PYAP Service Caravan 2nd Meeting was conducted on May 29, 2026, at the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD) with the active participation of the Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP) โ€“ Barangay Buhangin Chapter. The meeting served as an avenue for youth leaders and members to discuss plans, programs, and collaborative efforts for upcoming activities and events that will benefit the youth sector and the community.

This activity aimed to strengthen youth participation, leadership, and volunteerism by encouraging members to actively engage in planning and decision-making processes. Through discussions and coordination, the meeting provided opportunities for the youth to contribute ideas, develop organizational skills, and foster a sense of responsibility toward community development.

The partnership and support for upcoming events further emphasized the importance of collaboration among youth organizations, barangay officials, and community stakeholders. Such initiatives help empower young people by promoting teamwork, civic engagement, and positive values that contribute to their personal growth and social development.

The meeting was attended by President Kimberly G. Aya-ay and Secretary Jessa Gonzales of PYAPโ€“Barangay Buhangin Chapter. The activity also received support from Barangay Captain Reynaldo C. We proudly recognize the remarkable achievements of our youth during the Womenโ€™s Month Celebration organized by the City Social Welfare and Development Department (CSWDD).

NECAHELLA GABUTIN was awarded 2nd Place in the Spoken Poetry competition, showcasing exceptional talent, creativity, and advocacy.

In addition, the PYAP Youth successfully secured 2nd Place in the VAWC Vlog competition, demonstrating strong commitment in raising awareness and promoting gender equality.

These accomplishments reflect the dedication and active participation of the youth in supporting initiatives that empower women and promote an inclusive society.
