COMMUNITY UPDATE | STRAY DOG RESPONSE

The Camella Butuan Homeowners Association, Inc. (CBHOAI), in collaboration with the Butuan City Veterinary Office, continues its joint efforts to promote a safe, clean, and responsible pet-friendly community.

Today, the City Veterinary Office responded to the Association’s request and conducted an operation to address reported stray dogs within the Camella Butuan community. The activity aims to help ensure the safety of our residents, particularly children, senior citizens, and other vulnerable members of the community, while also promoting responsible pet ownership.

This initiative is part of our continuing collaborative effort between CBHOAI and the City Veterinary Office to address concerns involving stray animals and strengthen programs for animal welfare and community safety.

We sincerely thank the Butuan City Veterinary Office for their prompt response and continued support to our community.

We also encourage all pet owners to keep their pets properly secured, supervised, and within their respective premises.

Together, we can build a safer community for both our residents and our beloved animals.

💧 BCWD WATER RATIONING REMAINS TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED

As of today, September 28, 2026, no newer advisory has been issued by the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) changing its September 26 water status update.

Under BCWD’s latest advisory, water rationing remains temporarily suspended until further notice, while water supply conditions remain stable. The suspension took effect Sunday, September 27, after BCWD reported that the city’s water supply and operating conditions had returned to normal levels.

As of its September 26 assessment, total water supply had reached 61.08 million liters per day (MLD) — above the normal requirement. Of this, 55.99 MLD came from BCWD’s bulk water supplier, while 5.09 MLD came from Pump Stations No. 1 and No. 14.

BCWD emphasized that it will continue monitoring the stream flow and dam intake levels of the Taguibo River. Water rationing may be reinstated if water levels and stream flow decline again and affect the reliability of the city’s water supply.

As a precaution, BCWD continues to advise areas currently receiving water to store water.

Dear 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀,

Amid the ongoing water supply interruption, the Board of Directors has proposed and coordinated with the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) a per-route water distribution scheme, effective tomorrow, September 5, 2026.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸:
🔘 A water tanker will travel a fixed route each day, stopping at designated points along the way (𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘵𝘦 𝘮𝘢𝘱).
🔘 The Association's roving guard will es**rt the tanker throughout its route to help ensure smooth and orderly movement between stops.
🔘 Residents along each day's route are asked to bring their own containers and be ready at the nearest stop when the tanker arrives.
🔘 As the guard will be es**rting the tanker rather than stationed at each point, we ask residents to self-organize in an orderly line and be considerate of neighbors and household help collecting alongside them.

This initiative reflects the Board's continuing coordination with BCWD to ensure fair and efficient access to water during this shortage.

We ask every homeowner for patience and cooperation, and above all, the spirit of 𝖇𝖆𝖞𝖆𝖓𝖎𝖍𝖆𝖓 - looking out for our elderly, PWDs, and neighbors who may need extra help during collection.

Please be informed that the deep well water at Camella butuan clubhouse is also available for water collection for homeowners who may need an additional water supply.

Please be reminded that the water is NOT SAFE for drinking and must not be used for cooking.
