๐๐จ๐ก๐ ๐ฒ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒโThe FSUU-Student Assistant Organization (FSUU-SAO) successfully commenced their annual celebration of SAO Days 2026 with theme,'Mamma Mia!', that celebrated the talents, achievements and contributions of its members. The program brought together its participants, alumni, guests and supporters for one final gathering.
The event started with a prayer and the singing of National Anthem through Audio-Visual Presentation, followed by a welcome message by the Human Resource and Management Development Office (HRMDO) Director, Mr. Lyndon T. Buque, who warmly welcomed everyone and expressed gratitude to the individuals whose efforts contributed to the event's success. Mr. Buque also acknowledged the presence of the newly hired Student Assistants (SAs) and extended his gratitude to the newly SAO graduates reminding them to carry the Urian Values and their experiences as a Student Assisant on their future endeavors. The Musical Events; Vocal Solo, Vocal Duet, and Your Face Sounds Familiar followed right after. The event showcased the remarkable talents and creativity of the Student Assistants.
The ceremony then shifted to one of its most meaningful segmentsโthe tribute for the senior SAs who just graduated last May. Their years of commitment, service and dedication within the organization were recognized and celebrated as they prepare to embark on new journeys beyond the university. Their contributions have left a lasting impact on the organization and continue to serve as an inspiration to younger members. Equally significant was the recognition of the outgoing officers. Their efforts in organizing activities, representing the student assistants and fostering a culture of service and camaraderie were acknowledged as they concluded their term.
Adding depth to the celebration, an inspirational message was delivered by the organization's outgoing President, Ms. Mikaela Jhencey D. Bacolot. In her message, she reflected on her journey as a student leader and the experiences she shared with her fellow officers throughout their term. She highlighted the valuable lessons learned, friendships formed, and values strengthened through their service to the organization and the university community. Ms. Bacolot also took pride in the 13 successful events conducted during their term, attributing these achievements to the dedication and teamwork of both officers and members. As she concluded her message, she expressed her hope that future members of the organization would continue to be actively involved and committed to serving the community, carrying forward the legacy built by the current leadership.
This was followed by a message from the organization's adviser, Ms. Ma. Louissa F. Sinadjan, RPm, who commended the officers and members for their dedication and commitment throughout the years. She reminded the members that the organization is more than a group of Student Assistantsโit is a community built on shared experiences, mutual support, and service. Ms. Sinadjam also expressed her pride in the organization's achievements and encouraged the SAs to continue embodying the values of service, responsibility, and excellence as they move forward in their respective journeys.
The atmosphere heightened with anticipation as the winners for Musical Events and Laro ng Lahi which took place on the earlier morning. The ceremony reached its peak with the announcement of the Overall Winners, celebrating those who exemplified excellence throughout the entirety of the event. The standing are as follows:

As the celebration drew to a close, the Director of the Office of Admissions and Scholarships (OAS), Ms. Arlyn M. Amora delivered her closing remarks. In her message, she expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the program. Ms. Amora also shared a heartfelt reflection on her four years as OAS Director, becoming emotional as she realized that the senior Student Assistants she had worked with and guided throughout her tenure had already graduated. She expressed her pride in their achievements and wished them well as they begin a new chapter beyond the university.
SAO also acknowledged the Urian Library Information System Society (ULISS) that participated in the event through their interactive booth. Their presence enriched the celebration by providing attendees with opportunities to engage, learn, and connect with the different sectors of the university community.
The ceremony concluded with a photo opportunity and aftercare activity, allowing participants to celebrate together one final time, capture memories, and reflect on the journey they had shared. More than just a closing program, the ceremony served as a celebration of talent, leadership, service, and community. As one chapter comes to an end, the heart for service, memories created, friendships strengthened, and lessons learned will continue to inspire future generations of Student Assistants.
Like every unforgettable song, this chapter may end, but its melody will remain in the hearts of those who lived it.
