๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ญ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒโThe FSUU-Student Assistant Organization (SAO) successfully concluded the Beyond the Desk: Elevating Frontline Student Assistants - Role-Specific Training, held at AVR 1, bringing together non-graduating Student Assistants (SAs) for a day of learning, reflection and collaboration.
The event featured insightful sessions from esteemed speakers, including Ms. Arlyn M. Amora, Office of Academic and Scholarships (OAS) Director, whose opening remarks and discussion on The FSUU Culture and Constants were delivered by OAS staff, Mr. Lestle A. Pasula, who effectively set the tone for the training. Also present was Ms. Shanley dela Vega, staff from the Human Resource Management and Development Office (HRMDO), who guided participants through performance evaluation and confidentiality guidelines. Ms. Eda Lynne M. Joven, a faculty member from the Tourism and Hospitality Management Program (THMP), shared valuable insights on client service excellence, while Ms. Elenita N. Lasala, Director for ITDM, emphasized the importance of data privacy and security in both school and workplace settings.
The afternoon breakout sessions were led by Ms. Kimberly E. De Rama, Quality Assurance and Properties (QAP) Director, who discussed Traditional and Digital Records Management; Ms. Elaiza Mae C. Patanao, an alumni Student Assistant and SAO President for AY 2019โ2020; and Ms. Ma. Louissa F. Sinadjan, College Guidance Counselor and current SAO Adviser, who facilitated discussions on best practices, experiences, and challenges of frontline Student Assistants. These sessions provided a platform for participants to exchange insights across various work settings.
Through engaging discussions and shared experiences, the training highlighted that being a Student Assistant goes beyond routine tasks, it is rooted in professionalism, responsibility, and genuine service.
The organization extends its heartfelt gratitude to all speakers, facilitators, the working committee, and Student Assistants who contributed to the success of this meaningful initiative.
