Adventist Mental Health Association-NEMM Chapter We listen. We care

28/05/2026

Every group activity becomes a core memory because collaboration turns simple moments into meaningful experiences. Working together teaches us how to listen, support, and grow with one another.

โ€œThe Psychology of Leadership,โ€ emphasizing that effective leadership in the church begins with self-awareness and personal growth. Knowing more about yourself โ€” your strengths, weaknesses, emotions, and behavior โ€” helps leaders communicate better, handle responsibilities wisely, and practice healthy conflict management within the ministry. As leaders grow in emotional and spiritual maturity, they become more capable of resolving misunderstandings with humility, wisdom, and compassion, reflecting Christ-like leadership in serving God and His people. ๐Ÿค

The gospel can be summarized in three words: โ€œJesus stooped down.โ€

When the religious leaders brought the woman caught in adultery to Jesus, they all stood around her.

There were accusations, condemnation, anger, and indignation in the air. There was a sense of expectancy: What will Jesus say?

But Jesus didnโ€™t say anything. John writes, โ€œBut Jesus stooped downโ€ (John 8:6).

He came down into her world. He came down to her level. He came right down next to her. He got down in the dust.

She was naked. She probably had a blanket wrapped around her. She was a cowering mess.

All the religious leaders could see was somebody who was in need of punishment.

Jesus saw a totally different scene. He didnโ€™t see a villain primarily. He saw a victim. โ€” Taken from David Asscherickโ€™s message โ€œEchoes of Eve.โ€
