ASEZ STAR conducts “Green School” Project in line with Brigada Eskwela
Students clean and repaint Pagatpatan National High School in Butuan
ASEZ STAR, the Youth Student Volunteer Group of the World Mission Society Church of God (General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol, hereinafter the “Church of God”), carried out the “Green School” project in Butuan, Agusan del Norte, on May 31. Through this project, the students helped create a clean, pleasant environment at Pagatpatan National High School. The activity was held in line with the back-to-school outreach program “Brigada Eskwela,” organized by the Department of Education (DepEd). It is a nationwide voluntary effort to prepare for public schools for the new academic year. Over 60 people, including some members of ASEZ STAR, their families and friends, took part in the activity.
ASEZ STAR’s “Green School” project is an initiative to address climate change through environmental activities such as cleaning up streets around schools, beautifying school grounds, and carrying out challenges to save energy, water, and other resources. A representative from ASEZ STAR said, “Our students, who are future leaders, have come together to help keep humanity’s home beautiful. Today’s volunteer activity has provided a meaningful opportunity for students to learn the value of the environment and the importance of solidarity as well.”
The volunteers collected 500 kg of waste, including disposable plastic
