Warmest congratulations to the Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) – Caraga Chapter on the successful celebration of its 10th Founding Anniversary, held last August 2, 2026, under the meaningful theme:

“Rooted in Purpose, United in Planning: Ten Years in Shaping Caraga’s Future.”

From its inception on August 2, 2016, PIEP Caraga Chapter began with a shared vision—to unite environmental planners and advance the profession as an essential force in shaping sustainable, resilient, inclusive, and well-planned communities throughout the Caraga Region.

Over the past ten years, from 2016 to 2026, the Chapter has transformed that vision into meaningful accomplishments. It has strengthened the professional community of environmental planners in Caraga; promoted continuing professional development and knowledge sharing; fostered stronger partnerships with national government agencies, local government units, academe, civil society, and other development stakeholders; and advocated for the important role of environmental planning in local and regional development.

Throughout this decade, the Chapter has consistently championed responsible land-use planning, environmental protection, climate resilience, disaster risk reduction, sustainable urban and rural development, and participatory governance. Through conferences, general membership meetings, capacity-building activities, professional collaborations, community engagements, and policy discussions, PIEP Caraga has helped bring environmental planning closer to the communities and institutions we are called to serve.

Our 10th Founding Anniversary is therefore more than a celebration of longevity. It is a celebration of the people, partnerships, leadership, and collective commitment that have sustained the Chapter through the years. We gratefully recognize our founding members, past presidents and officers, Board of Directors, Chapter members, partners, mentors, and stakeholders whose dedication laid the foundation upon which PIEP Caraga continues to grow.

As we look back on the journey from 2016 to 2026, we honor the milestones we have achieved, the professional relationships we have built, and the communities we have helped serve. At the same time, this milestone calls us to look forward—to another decade of innovation, stronger professional practice, evidence-based planning, climate-responsive development, and meaningful public service.

Indeed, we remain rooted in our purpose as environmental planners and united in planning for the future. May the next chapter of PIEP Caraga be defined by even greater collaboration and a deeper commitment to creating communities that are inclusive, resilient, environmentally sustainable, and responsive to the aspirations of the Caraganons.

In the spirit of Christmas and fellowship, we also invite you to bring a Christmas exchange gift worth a minimum of Php 200.00, which will be shared during our Fellowship Party.
