BUTUAN CITY, Philippines — Demonstrating its continued commitment to peacebuilding and community development, 𝑷𝑶𝑰𝑵𝑻𝒀 𝑰𝒏𝒄. 𝑨𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏 𝒅𝒆𝒍 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒑𝒕𝒆𝒓 paid a courtesy visit to the 4𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒍 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 “𝑲𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒏” 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏 last April 19, 2026, at the Headquarters of 4th Civil Military Operations “Kasaligan Battalion, Civil Military Operations Regiment, Barangay Bancasi, Butuan City.

The visit served as a platform to present the chapter’s accomplishments for Calendar Year 2025, highlighting its initiatives and impact across various municipalities in Agusan del Norte. Central to the discussion was the introduction of a big project that will be the chapter’s flagship program for 2026, aimed at strengthening peace advocacy and fostering grassroots collaboration.

The activity was warmly received by the Commanding Officer of the 4th CMO Battalion 𝑳𝑻𝑪 𝑮𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒅 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 𝐀 𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒅𝒐 (𝑨𝑹𝑻) 𝑷𝑨, together with 𝑳𝑻𝑪 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒆 𝑮𝒐 (𝑰𝑵𝑭) 𝑷𝑨, Battalion Executive Officer alongside with 𝑪𝑷𝑻 𝑽𝒊𝒓𝒈𝒊𝒍 𝑳𝒆𝒐 𝑴 𝑹𝒐𝒎𝒖𝒈𝒂 (𝑰𝑵𝑭) 𝑷𝑨.

Representing POINTY Inc. Central Office were 𝑮𝒍𝒚𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝑨. 𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒐, 𝑪𝑯𝑹𝑨, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees; 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 𝑩. 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒐, 𝑳𝑷𝑻, Vice Chairperson at the same time Board of Trustees of POINTY Inc. Agusan del Norte Chapter; and 𝑮𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒏 𝑫𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒂𝒅𝒐, Peace Communications Director, Central Office. Key leaders from various municipalities in Agusan del Norte also participated in the engagement.

Both parties emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between civil society organizations and the military in promoting peace, stability, and inclusive development. The courtesy visit further reinforced a shared vision of empowering communities through coordinated efforts and meaningful dialogue.

As POINTY Inc. continues to expand its initiatives, the Agusan del Norte Chapter remains steadfast in its mission to drive positive change and contribute to long-term peace and development in the region.

𝑷𝑹𝑶𝑺𝑷𝑬𝑹𝑰𝑫𝑨𝑫, 𝑨𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒏 𝒅𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒖𝒓 – Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through Our Youth, Inc. (POINTY), Agusan del Norte Chapter officially launched its Project “Pagpaila” Courtesy Call Series with a visit to the 401st Infantry “Unite N’ Fight” Brigade on February 15, 2026, at the Brigade Headquarters in Brgy. Awa, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

The activity was spearheaded by the Provincial Board of Trustee 𝑴𝒓. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒌 𝑱𝒐𝒉𝒏 𝑩. 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒐, 𝑳𝑷𝑻, who also serves as Vice Chairperson of the POINTY Central Office. He was joined by key Central Office officials, including Board of Trustees Chairperson 𝑮𝒍𝒚𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝑨. 𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒐; Organizational Development Director 𝑬𝒏𝒈𝒓. 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑲𝒊𝒆𝒓 𝑴. 𝑩𝒆𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒐, 𝑴𝑷𝑨; Central Office President 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒓𝒚𝒍 𝑷𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒓𝒆; together with Municipal Chapter officers.

The courtesy call formally opened with a welcoming exchange and mutual introductions between the POINTY officers and the Philippine Army personnel. This was followed by a meaningful discussion where the officers presented the foundation and purpose of POINTY, highlighting its commitment to youth leadership, nation-building, and community engagement.

The officers also presented the organization’s four thematic areas, major programs, and strategic directions, emphasizing the Agusan del Norte Chapter’s planned initiatives and youth-centered advocacies aimed at fostering responsible, empowered, and peace-oriented young leaders.

The main objective of the courtesy call was to establish stronger coordination and collaboration with the Philippine Army and to seek guidance and institutional support for the forthcoming programs and activities of the POINTY Agusan del Norte Chapter.

The chapter was warmly received by the leadership of the 401st Infantry Brigade, thru 𝑪𝑶𝑳 𝑮𝑳𝑬𝑵𝑵 𝑱𝑶𝒀 𝑼. 𝑨𝒀𝑵𝑬𝑹𝑨, 𝑰𝑵𝑭 (𝑮𝑺𝑪), 𝑷𝑨, Acting Brigade Commander, and 𝑪𝑶𝑳 𝑹𝑬𝒀𝑵𝑨𝑳𝑫 𝑹𝑶𝑴𝑬𝑳 𝑨. 𝑮𝑶𝑪𝑬, 𝑮𝑺𝑪 (𝑰𝑵𝑭), 𝑷𝑨, Brigade Executive Officer, 401st Brigade, 4ID, PA. Both officers expressed their full support and shared their commitment to initiatives that promote youth development and peace-building.

Moving forward, POINTY Inc. Agusan del Norte Chapter extends its heartfelt appreciation to the 401st Infantry Brigade for the warm accommodation, valuable guidance, and continued support. The courtesy call was spear headed by the Vice Chairperson for Board of Trustees of POINTY Inc. at the same time the Board of Trustees for POINTY Inc. Agusan del Norte Chapter 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐁. 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐨, 𝐋𝐏𝐓. Also present during the visit were 2𝐋𝐓 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐓. 𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐬 (𝐌𝐈) 𝐏𝐀, Assistant Civil-Military Operations Officer of the battalion; 𝐆𝐥𝐲𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐫 𝐀. During the meeting, plans and priorities for Calendar Year 2026 were discussed, with a focus on strengthening coordination, collaboration, and operational efficiency—particularly for community- and school-based initiatives. The discussion provided an opportunity to align expectations, share insights, and reinforce mutual support to ensure the effective implementation of future programs

LTC Libre emphasized the evolving nature of the organization’s mission, stating, “𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒅𝒊 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐 𝒅𝒂𝒉𝒊𝒍 𝒏𝒂𝒔𝒂 𝒑𝒂𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏 𝒏𝒂 𝒌𝒂𝒚𝒐; 𝒎𝒈𝒂 𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒆 𝒂𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒐 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒌𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒑.” This highlighted the importance of heightened preparedness, discipline, and vigilance, especially in engagements within the education sector, where youth volunteers play a critical role in promoting peace, safety, and awareness.

𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐈, 𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 - In a continued commitment to fostering peace and development among the youth, POINTY Inc. has reaffirmed its partnership with the 4th Civil Military Operations “Kasaligan” Battalion, Philippine Army, reinforcing initiatives aimed at empowering young leaders across Region 13 - Caraga and Region 10 - Northern Mindanao. This collaboration underscores the shared vision of both organizations in building resilient, engaged, and proactive communities through youth-led initiatives.

As part of the strengthening collaboration, POINTY Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Glynmer A. Jamito, paid a courtesy visit to the newly installed Commanding Officer of the 4CMO Battalion, LTC Gerald John A. Saldo (ART) GSC PA. The visit served as an opportunity to align strategies, discuss upcoming initiatives, and reinforce the shared commitment to advancing youth development and peace-building efforts across the regions.

As the partnership moves forward, plans are now set to engage directly at the grassroots level. This strategic approach will allow POINTY and the 4CMO Battalion to assess youth needs firsthand, identify challenges, and provide targeted support for local youth programs. By immersing themselves in the realities of each community, both organizations aim to bridge gaps in leadership training, education, and peace-building efforts.
