Behind every smile, achievement, and responsibility may be challenges that often go unseen. Creating spaces where men feel safe to express their emotions is an important step toward breaking long-standing stigmas surrounding mental health.

Lay down the tough guy act—real strength isn't pretending you're okay when you're not. This month serves as a reminder that checking in on ourselves and on the people around us matters. Together, we can foster a space where seeking help is viewed as a sign of resilience, vulnerability is met with understanding, and every man is encouraged to prioritize his well-being without fear of judgment.

𝐀 𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐂𝐒𝐔’𝐒 𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐏𝐒𝐘𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐘!

The CSU-Psychology Society proudly extends its heartfelt congratulations to our sophomores and freshmen who participated in and excelled at the first-ever 𝐏𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡-𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: “𝙋𝙨𝙮𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙈𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙄𝙨𝙨𝙪𝙚𝙨,” hosted and presented by the Faculty of Psychology of Universitas Diponegoro on May 18, 2026. This Undergraduate Southeast Asian Psych-Film Fest welcomed participants from various countries, including the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia 📹.

The short-film “𝑹𝒖𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒐𝒏 𝑳𝒐𝒘 𝑩𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒚”, which powerfully portrayed burnout as something that should not be seen as a weakness, was awarded as the champion of this newly launched event, competing against top-selected films from Vietnam and Indonesia. The team—Rechell Jane Villalba, Claud Nhicolie Gildo, Franchezka Althea Villa, Anton Ele Solen, and Avril Lavigne Almonares—brought immense pride to our school as they showcased their masterpiece on an international stage.

Also, from the multiple submissions made by our Psychmates, six more films, alongside “Running on Low Battery”, were selected for presentation during the event. Although they did not secure the championship title, two of our entries achieved 2nd and 3rd place among our participating films. These short films were showcased during the Grand Final and Awarding Ceremony of the Undergraduate Southeast Asian Psych-Film Fest.

The film that placed 2nd was “𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜”, crafted by Alexa Louisse Basigsig, Racquelle Mae Janiola, Nichol John Gualde, Danna Margaret Selim, and Jessa Mabell Basadre. The 3rd-placing film was “𝐒𝐤𝐲”, produced by Nicole Jane B. Esparcia, Christine M. Boyles, Xandria Claire T. Adonis, Jushtin Roy A. Campos, and Ziexley G. Cuyno.

The following films were also selected for presentation, but did not place in the Top 3:

Amidst the busy schedules for survey and research papers, we are inviting all CSU-Psychology Society members to join the 2𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐲 via Gmeet, which will be aired through 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞 this 𝐌𝐚𝐲 08, 2026 - 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 to accomodate attendees.
