Today, we honor the people behind every intervention, every case conference, every home visit, every act of compassion, and every life transformed.

On this Filipino Social Workers’ Day, The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Office Caraga celebrates the dedication, resilience, and unwavering commitment of social workers who continue to serve as agents of hope, healing, and change for vulnerable individuals, families, and communities.

As we carry this year’s theme, “Mula Harambee Tungo sa Bayanihan: Panawagan sa Pagbubuklod, Paghihilom at Sama-samang Pagkilos ng Social Workers para sa Bayan,” may we continue to strengthen our solidarity and commitment to uplifting lives through genuine service and malasakit.

Happy Filipino Social Workers’ Day!

READ | The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office Caraga Regional Director Mari Flor Dollaga extends her message as the agency joins the nation in celebrating Filipino Social Workers’ Day this June 19, in accordance with Proclamation No. 1176, s. 2021, recognizing the invaluable contributions of Filipino social workers in advancing invaluable contributions to nation-building, especially in the implementation of the social protection initiatives of the national and local government.

Behind every family assisted, every community empowered, and every individual given hope amid adversity are social workers who continuously dedicate their time, expertise, and a heart of compassion in service to others. Their unwavering commitment to public service reflects the true essence of malasakit, professionalism, and social responsibility.

As we commemorate this meaningful celebration, let us honor and appreciate the dedication, resilience, and selfless efforts of our Filipino social workers who remain steadfast in promoting the welfare, protection, and empowerment among vulnerable sectors.

In DSWD Caraga, we celebrate not only their profession, but also their enduring commitment to transforming lives and building a more inclusive and compassionate society.
