๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ (CYF) of District 5 officially started this yearโs highly anticipated Sports Festival, ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ on May 15, 2026 at UCCP Pinanaan, Las Nieves, Agusan del Norte. Anchored on the quadrennial theme โWalking with Jesus, Journeying with the Anawim,โ the three-day event blended spiritual devotion, organizational grounding, and high-energy fellowship to set a dynamic tone for the days ahead.

The festival commenced with a solemn yet uplifting Worship Service ministered by ๐๐๐ฏ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ฃ๐๐ง ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐, the host church pastor of UCCP Pinanaan. Delivering a stirring sermon drawn from the Book of Jeremiah, ๐๐๐ฏ. ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐๐ ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ challenged the young delegates to step into their divine calling. He emphasized how the youth hold a vital role in advancing the churchโs ministries. Rev. Maglasang in a call to service, urged the participants to recognize the immense weight of their voices and the impact of their collaborative effort and active leadership.
Following the spiritual charge, the delegates took on the task to delve into organizational history during the ๐๐๐๐ ๐ง๐ ๐๐๐
lecture, facilitated by ๐๐๐ฏ. ๐๐ก๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ of UCCP Las Nieves. Rev. Catubig guided the youth through the fellowship's foundational pillars, including the ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐, ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฆ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐, ๐๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ ๐ฅ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ฅ, and ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฌ๐ฒ๐ฆ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐ฆ ๐จ๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐๐๐

As evening fell, the atmosphere shifted from reflective to electric. A high-octane praise jam led by the socials committee ushered in the Acquaintance Night, formally introducing the four competing houses ready to compete for the duration of the sports festival: ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฃ๐๐ก, ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ก, ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ฌ, ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐๐ฆ ๐๐จ๐๐ก.
Amidst the cheers, the community took a moment to honor its leaders. The then outgoing 2024โ2026 CYF District 5 Executive Officers and Committees were officially recognized, receiving heartfelt gratitude for their dedicated years of service and stewardship.
As the Games Await
The night concluded with an orientation detailing the high-stakes battles prepared for the PAUGNAT Game day to happen on May 16, 2026. Mechanics and judging criteria were laid out for the upcoming Pasundayag Night, alongside the rules for the highly competitive Laro ng Lahi and Paugnat sa Kusog.
With the flames of friendly rivalry officially fanned and a renewed sense of shared purpose established, Day 1 of PAUGNAT 2026 closed on a triumphant note, leaving the delegates of District 5 unified, inspired, and ready to compete.
