FSUU College Red Cross Youth Council

Directions

FSUU College Red Cross Youth Council It aims to develop among the students the spirit of humanitarianism and social service through active and direct involvement in Red Cross activities.

FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

The Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement are:

HUMANITY
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, born of a desire to bring assistance without discrimination to the wounded on the battlefield, endeavors - in its international and national capacity - to prevent and alleviate human suffering wherever and whenever it may be found. Its purpose is to protect life and health and to ensure respect for the human being. It promotes mutual understanding, friendship, cooperation, and lasting peace among its people. IMPARTIALITY
It makes no discrimination as to nationality, race, religion, beliefs, class or political opinions. It endeavors to relieve the suffering of individuals, being guided solely by their needs and to give priority to the most urgent cases of distress. NEUTRALITY
In order to continue to enjoy the confidence of all, the Movement may not take sides in hostilities or engage at any time in controversies of a political, racial, religious or ideological nature. INDEPENDENCE
The Movement is independent. National Societies, while auxiliaries in humanitarian service of their governments and subjects to the laws of their respective countries must always maintain autonomy so that they may be able at all times to act in accordance with the principles of the Movement. VOLUNTARY SERVICE
The Movement is a voluntary relief organization not prompted in any manner by desire for gain. UNITY
There can only be one society in any one country. It must be open to all. It must carry one emblem in its humanitarian work throughout its territory. UNIVERSALITY
The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, in which all Societies have equal status and share equal responsibilities and duties in helping each other, is a worldwide organization.

In the darkest moments, your thoughts deserve a calming place too. You are more than your thoughts are. And despite the storm, we value your safety the most and asking for help is not a sign of weakness, but courage. ๐Ÿค

Reach out to someone who might have been struggling. Let them know that they are seen; they give light amidst the dark. Help is always available, so lives can be saved.

As haze affects our air quality, letโ€™s stay informed and take the necessary precautions to protect our health.

โ€ขWear an N95 or KN95 mask when outdoors - If going outdoors is necessary, use a well-fitting N95 or KN95 mask to help reduce exposure to fine particulate matter.

โ€ขLimit outdoor activities when haze is present - Reduce strenuous activities and prolonged outdoor exposure, especially when haze is visible.

โ€ขAvoid open burning - Refrain from burning trash, leaves, and other materials to help prevent additional air pollution.

โ€ขStay updated with official advisories - Regularly check air quality updates and advisories from the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) and your local government units (LGUs).

Letโ€™s look out for one another and make safety a shared responsibility. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

Amid all the fun and activities in University Days, our volunteers in Red Cross Youth continued with the mission of extending help to the university community where it is needed at all times. โœจ

During the entire activity, the volunteers were present in helping out in the activities, addressing needs, and handling situations where their services were needed. By way of coordination and cooperation, they have helped make sure that University Days 2026 was safe, organized, and supported by everyone involved. ๐Ÿฉบ๐Ÿค๐Ÿป

As we come to the end of this year's University Days, aside from the memories of the entire event, we are able to keep with us the experience of coming together, helping one another, and being present where there was a need for help. To all RCY volunteers who joined in making this event happen, thank you very much for your time, effort, and service. Until next time. โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉนโœจ
