SILIPETEN Project | Aplaya Collaborative Center for Conservation Inc.
Aplaya Collaborative Center for Conservation Inc. is looking for a Project Manager to lead the SILIPETEN Project, an initiative restoring Indigenous food crop systems with the Indigenous and Local community in Busuanga, Palawan, to strengthen climate resilience, food security, and biodiversity conservation.
📍 Duty Station: Barangay Salvacion, Busuanga, Palawan (with regular field travel to Barangay Cheey and partner communities)
🗓️ Duration: 5 months, renewable subject to performance and funding
👤 Reports to: Executive Director, Aplaya Collaborative Center for Conservation Inc.
What you’ll do:
✅ Lead project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting
✅ Supervise project staff and coordinate with community and LGU partners
✅ Ensure activities respect Indigenous governance and FPIC processes
✅ Support budget ex*****on and prepare technical/financial reports
What we’re looking for:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Community Development, Social Sciences, Agriculture, or related field
💼 2–5 years managing community-based, environmental, or Indigenous Peoples projects
🤝 Strong facilitation, leadership, and multi-stakeholder coordination skills
🗣️ Fluent in English and Filipino; knowledge of Cuyonon or Tagbanwa is a plus
📌 High preference will be given to qualified applicants who are residents of the Calamianes (Busuanga, Coron, Culion, Linapacan).
