𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝗕𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴

𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 are not just “𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀.”
A teacher is not only one person, nor simply one profession. They carry different roles within themselves.

They can be a 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 when you feel sick in class.
They can be an 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 when you feel sad.
They can be a 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲 when you feel lost.
And they can be a 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 when you need one—a teacher who sacrifices time away from their own children to be there for someone else’s.

A teacher is also someone’s child, someone’s sibling, yet they still carry the weight of their responsibilities.

A teacher is like a candle, bringing light to those surrounded by darkness. They are the reason classrooms are filled with knowledge, learning, and hope.

Even when their hearts are shared among many people, even when their bodies grow tired, even when they lose sleep after spending the night preparing lessons and teaching materials—they still show up.

𝗔 𝗧𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗼 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀

Behind every lesson is a teacher who wakes up before dawn to prepare, who stands with patience to guide, and who stays beyond midnight to ensure no student is left behind.

This portrays the quiet sacrifices that often go unseen — the early mornings, the late nights, and the unwavering dedication. Yet for our teachers, seeing their students succeed makes every sacrifice worthwhile.

To all our beloved teachers, especially our Instructors at Burauen Community College, thank you for never giving up on us. Your dedication is the foundation of our future.

Please be informed that the earlier advisory regarding the suspension of classes on October 5, 2026, for National Teachers' Day has been RESCINDED by the Local Government Unit of Burauen.

The Executive Order No. 046-26, Series of 2026, issued by the Municipal Government of Burauen, which was the basis for the class suspension at Burauen Community College (BCC), has been officially withdrawn.

In line with that, BCC will continue its classes on October 5, 2026, through asynchronous modality. All instructors and administrative staff with teaching loads are directed to follow the Asynchronous Classes Protocol.

Meanwhile, all non-academic offices shall remain open and will continue to render regular services.

Please be informed that the earlier advisory regarding the suspension of classes on October 5, 2026, for National Teachers' Day has been RESCINDED by the Local Government Unit of Burauen.

The Executive Order No. 046-26, Series of 2026, issued by the Municipal Government of Burauen, which was the basis for the class suspension at Burauen Community College (BCC), has been officially withdrawn.

This means CLASSES WILL PROCEED AS USUAL on Monday, October 5, 2026, at BCC.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Focal Persons, Deans, and College Administrator Share Insights After CHED RQAT and SAS Monitoring

Following the conclusion of the CHED Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) and Student Affairs and Services (SAS) monitoring, An Sariyong interviewed the focal persons of the proposed new programs—BA English Language Studies, BS Tourism Management, and BS Agribusiness—as well as the deans of the College of Business and Public Administration (CBPA) and College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), and the College Administrator.

They shared their experiences throughout the monitoring process, the feedback and recommendations given by the CHED RQAT, their respective assessments, and their plans for improvement to ensure compliance and further elevate the quality of education and student services at BCC.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗢𝗚𝗖 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 "𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲" 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺

The Office of Guidance and Counseling (OGC) successfully conducted its Su***de Awareness Program with the theme "Changing the Narrative on Su***de" on October 2, 2025, at the College Building.

The initiative is part of the institution's continuing efforts to strengthen mental health advocacy and promote su***de prevention among students.

The program opened with welcoming remarks from College Administrator Dr. Jett C. Quebec, who emphasized the importance of such activities to "erase the stigma of talking about su***de" and to foster a more open and supportive environment for students.
Students actively participated in competitions designed to encourage self-expression and mental health advocacy.

In the Digital Poster-Making Contest, participants showcased artworks created through digital tools, each with a brief explanation of its concept and message. The entries highlighted themes of hope, awareness, and support.

Top 3 Winners:
1st Place - Chelsea Louh C. Genita, BSCrim 205 - 92.33%
2nd Place - Nicole M. Monton, BPA 101 - 84.33%
3rd Place - Amber May N. Borja, BSA 101 - 82.67%

A Slogan-Making Contest was also held, giving students a platform to convey messages of resilience and emotional strength.

Top 3 Winners:
1st Place - BSA 103 - 91%
2nd Place - BSA 101 - 89.67%
3rd Place - BSCrim - 83.67%

Meanwhile, the Micro Movie-Making Contest featured short films produced by student groups, focusing on real-life experiences and perspectives on su***de and mental health. The films aimed to challenge misconceptions, promote understanding, and encourage help-seeking behavior.

Top 3 Winners:
1st Place - BSCrim 122 - 83.73%
2nd Place - BSA 101 - 82.80%
3rd Place - BSCrim 112 - 80.99%

Closing remarks were delivered by Ms. Shana Mae G. Bendaño, LPT, on behalf of Mr. John Eric R. Go, MM, who thanked all participants and reiterated the institution's commitment to mental health advocacy.

"For our dear students, let us continue to choose hope, protect lives, and support one another," she said.

The program concluded with the awarding of certificates to the judges and the recognition of winners from each competition.

As a new academic year begins, An Sariyong turns a new page—welcoming fresh voices, new perspectives, and a new generation of student journalists ready to tell the stories that matter. Presenting the 𝗘𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 2026-2027 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗻 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴, united by a shared commitment to seek the truth, amplify voices, and document the ever-changing story of the Burauen Community College community.

With a new chapter comes a renewed purpose. An Sariyong moves forward with courage and creativity—to inform with clarity, write with purpose, and tell stories that reflect the experiences, achievements, and realities of the community it serves.
