tal Facility (GEF), the Small Grants (SGP) under the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the implementation of a two (2) year PRESERVE BVNP Bulusan Area Biodiversity Conservation & Ecotourism Support Project in partnership with the local governments (Barangay, Municipal & Provincial), NGAs & Academes. AGAP Bulusan, Inc. is a recipient of the Regional Saringgaya Award – a Regional Environmental Award for NGO/PO Category for the year 2008; Municipal and Provincial Awardee for Environmental Protection and Conservation, Provincial Awardee for Agri-tourism during the Kasanggayahan Festival 2011 and have been a nominee for the E3 Awards dubbed as Excellence in Economy and Ecology National Awards by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce, Inc. It is championing the development and promotion of eco adventure and sports tourism such as the conceptualization of the 1st Bulusan Eco Trail Running Event in the Province in 2011 dubbed as “Dalagan sa Kadlagan” implemented in partnership with the LGU of Bulusan which was the only Running Event in the Philippines officially approved by the International Year of the Forests (IYTF) Committee of the United Nations. With the success of the said pioneering event in the Province, the Bulusan Eco Trail Running Cup became an annual event of the Municipality which were replicated by other localities. The second Trail Running event under the Bulusan Eco Trail Running Cup banner was led by LGU Bulusan in partnership with AGAP Bulusan, Inc. and other Government and Private Entities which was well participated event held last July 22, 2012. Similarly, the successful Kasanggayahan Festival’s Agri-Run in Bulusan 2012 which was held last, October 14. It is likewise, implementing the Three Lakes in a Climb conceptualized by DOT RV in partnership with LGU Bulusan and DENR RV which is now being enhance thru fusion of aqua eco-adventures such as leisure swimming, canoeing, kayaking and other paddling activities with terrestrial eco-adventures such as, trail running, bird watching and mountain climbing to provide an ultimate eco-adventure experience for outdoor sportsman, nature and wildlife enthusiasts or to simply to anyone who would like to commune and challenge One’s self versus Nature. represents the NGO/PO sector in the Bulusan Volcano Natural Park (BVNP) Protected Area Management Board (PAMB); Municipal and Provincial Solid Waste Management Board (PSWMB); Municipal and Provincial Tourism Council; Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Council, Municipal Development Council (MDC) and the Local Anti-Poverty Reduction Team (LPRAT) of the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC). is instrumental in the community-based multi-sectoral organizations of Twenty-four (24) People Organizations (POs) in Twenty-four (24) Barangays of the Municipality of Bulusan, with Sixteen (16) POs legally registered by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) geared towards People Empowerment towards Participatory Governance. In addition, it continuously supports and implements capability building for grassroots communities in eco-livelihood such as, cocotwining, beekeeping, handicraft production and other sustainable farming methodologies. In addition, it conducted trainings in partnership with both public and private entities in capacitating ecotourism service providers particularly, the Transport Sector, Local Producers, Tour/Eco Guides, and Emergency Response Team as anti-poverty and disaster readiness mechanisms. It has provincial and national affiliations as member of Provincial Alliance of Non Government Organizations and People Organizations for Development (PANGOPOD) – under the alliance regional network of Bicol Consortium for Development (BCD) and the national network - CODE NGO. is also affiliated with the National Alliance and Network of NGOs for Environmental Conservation for the National Greening Program (NGP) of the Philippines under Philippine Tropical Forest Conservation Foundation (PTFCF) and the Foundation of Philippine Environment (FPE).
