NATIONAL HEROES DAY 2022

National Heroes Day in the Philippines is celebrated every last Monday of August. This date was chosen as it marked the beginning of the Cry of Pugad Lawin in 1896, the start of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish colonisers.

The Philippine National Police - Police Regional Office 12 joins the nation in celebration and commemoration to the courage of great Filipino heroes past and present, who have given much to the cause of freedom, justice, and Philippine independence and nationhood.

The men and women of the PRO 12 who continue to perform their duty with loyalty, dedication and pride are contemporary heroes of our time who share the same aspiration for a free and just society under an independent, strong and progressive republic. There is always a hero amongst us and the PNP will never run out of heroes.
