PADARAW FESTIVAL 2025
ON THE SPOT PAINTING COMPETITION

The competition shall be on MAY 14-15, 2025 at Bulan Old Presidencia Building, Zone 4, Bulan, Sorsogon.

ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMENTS OF ENTRANTS:
1. Open to all Sorsogueño artists.
2. Age requirement is 18 and above.
3. Entrants must submit any valid ID and a photo in high resolution of at least 2 samples of their best works as basis for screening prior to the contest proper. Please send via email address: [email protected]
5. The deadline of submission is on MAY 11, 2025.

GUIDELINES:
The PADARAW FESTIVAL ON-THE-SPOT PAINTING COMPETITION is a two-day event which will be held at Bulan Presidencia Heritage Museum.

1. Artwork entries must be conceptually thematic and representational (realism) in form.
2. Fifteen (15) official entrants will be chosen as finalists.
3. The subject and content of painting entries can be an object, scenery, or event that describes Bulan's historico- cultural attributes.
4. Participants are allowed to use life subject or photo reference.
5. Cartoony, poster-making type and abstract (with non-recognizable objects) style are prohibited.
6. The Stretched canvas (24x36 inches) and easels to be used will be provided by the sponsor while painting mediums are at participants' expense.
7. Only acrylic and oil are allowed to use as painting medium.
8.Painting entries are allowed in any orientation.
9. The Champion’s entry will be a property of the organizers and will sign a waiver for the art work.

JUDGING &. AWARDING:
1. The panel of judges will choose the 3 winners - Champion, 1st runner up & the 2nd runner up.
2. Sticker- judging system will be used as mode of judging.
3. The decision of panel of judges will be final and irrevocable.
4. Winners will be announced right after the judging.

PRIZES:
1. Champion will receive Php15,000.00 cash and certificate.
2. 1st runner up will receive Php10,000.00 cash and certificate.
3. 2nd runner up will receive Php5,000.00 cash and certificate.
4. Each of Non-winners will receive Php1,000.00 consolation and certificate.
5. Entries will be showcased at the Bulan Presidencia Heritage Museum.

Si Carol ay isang g**o sa high school na may mahigit 14 taon ng karanasan sa pagtuturo. Layon nyang tulungan ang mga estudyante na umunlad hindi lamang sa kanilang pag-aaral kundi pati na rin sa kanilang personal na paglago.

Bilang ina ng dalawang anak, taglay niya ang pasensya at pag-unawa na nagbibigay-daan para sa isang silid-aralan kung saan nararamdaman ng bawat estudyante na sila ay mahalaga at suportado. Ang kanyang dedikasyon ay nakatuon sa paggabay sa mga kabataan patungo sa pagiging responsableng mga indibidwal na may malasakit sa kapwa at handa sa mga hamon ng buhay.

Sangguniang Kabataan of San Juan Bag-O Entrusts Bukasi for a Successful First Art Workshop

The Sangguniang Kabataan of San Juan Bag-O, led by Chairperson Mc Lorenz U. Grantos, took a bold step into the world of art with their first-ever art workshop, a collaboration with BUKASI. Under the expert guidance of King Gerald Sulit and Joelheen Berania, and with the dedicated support of Nina Vargas and Kem Buragay, CJ Gerona and other SK kagawads, the workshop was a resounding success.

Despite many participants being new to oil pastels, they embraced the challenge with enthusiasm. The experience not only sparked creativity but also fostered a sense of community and learning.

This workshop marks the beginning of BUKASI's legacy to reach all 63 barangays, especially the barrios, bringing art and its transformative power to every corner of the municipality. 🎨

The successful Launching of LINGGO NG KABATAAN 2024 on August 10, 2024, was led by the Youth Council of Sona Singko and 10 collaborators, including our Organization, the BUKASI. 148 youth from Bulan participated in the event, enjoying activities like a Color Fun Run and Team Building. The BUKASI and other individuals were recognized at the Closing Ceremony. The youth left with a sense of fulfillment and commitment to their community.
