Our initial speaker, Jeremy N. Castillo, advocates for Empowering Journalism and a Community that Values Child Literacy. He began his JOURNey as a Feature Writer at Jose Juan Serapio Elementary School, which helped him evolve into a student Journalist. Advancing to Junior High, he kept following his passion at Catmon National High School, where Mr. Castillo gained popularity due to his leadership abilities, public speaking talent, and various skills. He participated in the 2022 National Oratorical Competition, the 2023 Festival of Talents, and finished 3rd in the 2023 EDDIS School Press Conference, qualifying for the division. A contributor for โANG KALATAS,โ the official newspaper of the school, and featured in various school publications due to his steadfast passion for Campus Journalism, received the title of NATATANGING MAG-AARAL SA ASIGNATURANG FILIPINO.
Moving on Senior High School, Mr. Castillo became an awarded Campus Journalist of the Immaculate Conception Polytechnic Santa Maria Bulacan Main Campus and received different Honors in this fieldโduring his time in their institution Year 2023-2024 he was elected as the First ever Editor-in-Chief of their Official School Publication โANG KATHAโ, on the said year, he initiated the first ever Live Broadcasting Coverage of their publication which covers the biggest events of the school and their community based activities. He pursued the group to first ever participate in their Districtโs EDDIS School Script Writing and Radio Broadcasting Competition and became the First private school to join in this prestigious competition. Mr. Castillo released the first ever Student News Paper of their Institution which creates a remarkable impact in their school, by the help of their Editorial Boards and their adviser.
Year 2024-2025, he became the appointed Chairman of the School Publication and conducted the biggest projects as a Journalistic Organization, by his initiative, their Publication became part of the Youth Organization Registration Program (YORP) of the National Youth Commission (NYC), by this step, Mr. Castillo became a LOCAL YOUTH DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL of the Municipality of Santa Maria, under the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) and had the opportunity to widen their publications service from school to their community.

Mr. Castillo also conducted the first ever School Pressconference in their Institutions which aims to open the opportunity for other student to be a Student journalist. After being part of the National Youth Organization he represented their School and Municipality in different event inside and outside the Province of Bulacan such as;
-LYDC Malolos Training conducted by Pangkaunlarang Konseho ng Kabataan sa Lalawigan ng Bulacan.
-He was One of the 50 Youth Municipal Representatives of Santa Maria in US EMBASSY DAY TOUR 2024
-BATAAN SK and LYDC Continuing Leadership Training
-And the recently conducted NATIONAL YOUTH CONVENTION in San Fernando La Union in which he had an opportunity to speak infront of all the Filipino Youth Delegates and leaders, sharing his experience in Campus Journalism.
Chair. Jeremy is also a National Delegate in the recently conducted National Convention for the Eucharist 2025 held at the Bulwagang Batangas.
Mr. Castillo also had a Title in their Province โIKAAPAT SA PINAKAMAHUHUSAY NA MANUNULA NG LALAWIGAN NG BULACAN BulPrisa Cultural 2025โ and in their District (4) โKAMPEON SA LARANGAN NG PAGBIGKAS NG TULAโ. Year 2025 he also became the student coach of the Immaculate Conception Polytechnicโs Filipino and English Radio Broadcasting Team which competed in the 2025 BulPrisa Division School Script Writing and Radio Broadcasting Competition, The Filipino Team Ranked 7th out of 23 Schools and the English Team Ranked 4th out of 19 Schools with special Awards of;

2nd Place Best in Script
3rd Place Best in Technical Application
He also hosted, the Major events of their IC institutions and the biggest events in his Home Town, Santa Maria.
Currently, He is the founder of SAmahan ng mga MAmamahayag sa SAnta MAria (SAMASAMARIA) which aims to become the first local publication team of their Municipality. And Lastly, Mr. Castillo is a Provincial Representative of the Municipality of Santa Maria for the Bulacan History and Heritage Society Conference 2025 in Malolos (Sentro Kapitolyo ng mga Bulakenyo).
