CDSGA Criminology Department Recognized for Excellence by PCAP Region III

June 3, 2025

The Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP) – Region III has honored the Criminology Department of Colegio de San Gabriel Arcangel with an Award for Excellence for its outstanding performance in the July 2024 and February 2025 Criminology Licensure Examinations.

The awarding ceremony was held at the Heroes Hall, City of San Fernando, Pampanga, and was attended by regional leaders, criminology educators, and board passers from various institutions in Central Luzon.

The recognition highlights CDSGA’s consistent commitment to academic excellence, rigorous licensure exam preparation, and the development of highly competent criminology graduates. The department’s exemplary licensure examination performance not only reflects the quality of instruction and mentorship but also the dedication and perseverance of its students.

In another striking feat for Colegio de San Gabriel Arcangel, Inc. (CDSGA), alumnus Mark Renz Resurreccion secured the 7th spot in the February 2025 Licensure Examination for Criminologists, earning an impressive 91.60% rating.

Upon receiving the result, Resurreccion humbly expressed his gratitude through a social media post, stating, “To God be the Glory.”

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) publicized that 22,245 out of 36,768 examinees passed the board exam administered by the Board of Criminology across 29 testing centers nationwide.

The Board of Criminology, chaired by Hon. Ramil G. Gabao with members Hon. Lani T. Palmones and Hon. Warren M. Corpuz, released the results within 20 working days after the final examination date.

Concurrently, CDSGA’s performance in the licensure exam reflected an 83.33% passing rate for first-time takers, with 12 examinees, 20% for repeaters who have reflected 5 examinees, while the overall school performance stood at 64.71%, with 17 takers.

Resurreccion expressed gratitude to everyone who supported and congratulated him throughout his licensure journey.
