πŸ™ Prayer: Small Things with Great Love

O Loving God,

You know my heart β€”
I may not be able to do great things that the world notices,
I may not change the whole world in a single moment.

But today, I ask You:
Teach me to do small things with great love.

Help me to love fully in the little acts β€”
a gentle word, a helping hand, a patient heart,
a quiet kindness that no one may see but You.

Bless the work of my hands, however humble.
Bless the words I speak, however simple.
Bless the love I give, however small it may seem.

Remind me that what matters is not how big the deed is,
but how much love is put into doing it.

With St. Teresa of Calcutta as my guide,
let me serve You in the poor, the lonely, and the forgotten β€”
one small, loving step at a time.

All for Your glory, now and always.

Amen. πŸ™

✝️ Mother Teresa on the Sign of the Cross

"Always make the Sign of the Cross. It is your greatest weapon. It drives away evil, it brings blessings, it protects you. Pray it slowly, with love β€” in the morning, at night, before every meal, before every work β€” always."

She often said:

- The Sign of the Cross is the shortest, most powerful prayer β€” it reminds us God is with us everywhere.

- It seals us with the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit β€” no evil can stand before it.

- She taught her Sisters to make it reverently, never rushed, and to bless themselves, their work, the sick, and the poor with it.

- Her famous words:

"When you feel helpless, make the Sign of the Cross. When you are afraid, make the Sign of the Cross. When you don’t know what to do β€” make the Sign of the Cross and trust God."

πŸ™ How She Said to Pray It

In the name of the Father, (touch forehead)
and of the Son, (touch heart)
and of the Holy Spirit. (touch left then right shoulder)
Amen.

✨ The Actual Prayer Spoken Over Monica Besra

"Mother, today's your day. You love the poor. Do something for Monica."

This was the simple, heartfelt prayer spoken by the Sister Superior on September 5, 1998 β€” the first anniversary of Mother Teresa's death β€” as she placed a Miraculous Medal (that had touched Mother Teresa's body at her funeral) upon Monica's abdomen. About 8 hours later, the tumor was completely gone.

πŸ™ Prayer Through the Intercession of St. Teresa of Calcutta

(inspired by Monica Besra's miracle)

O Holy Mother Teresa of Calcutta,
You gave your life serving the poorest of the poor,
and God has shown your power through miracles of healing.
Just as you answered the prayer for Monica Besra,
I come to you now with my own needs.

Mother, today is your day. You love the poor. Do something for me.

I place my trust in your intercession.
Ask God to grant me the grace I need β€”
healing of body, peace of heart, strength in suffering.
Help me to believe that nothing is impossible with God.
Teach me to do small things with great love,
and to trust always in His merciful care.

Amen.

The Greatest Love β€” St. Teresa of Calcutta

The greatest thing Mother Teresa did β€” that others did not β€” was to show a perfect, unconditional love for every person, especially those the world had cast aside and forgotten.

She did not merely give money or help β€” she gave her whole self. She chose to live among the poorest of the poor, to suffer alongside them, and to embrace even the unloved, the sick, and the abandoned β€” asking for nothing in return, never judging, and choosing no one over another.

Her love was not just in words β€” it was seen in her hands, washing, feeding, clothing, and holding people that society turned away. It was a love that gave until there was nothing left β€” and this is the love so few are able to give.

"Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." β€” St. Teresa of Calcutta
