𝙁𝙪𝙣 𝙁𝙖𝙘𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠!

𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸. 🗣️

In a normal, casual conversation, we average 120 to 150 words per minute. But here’s the crazy part. To make that happen, your brain has to coordinate roughly 100 different muscles across your chest, neck, jaw, tongue, and lips—every single second. ⚡

As the rainy season continues, the Speech Club encourages everyone to stay safe, prepared, and informed.

𝙍𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙤:
☂️ Bring an umbrella or raincoat.
🧥 Wear appropriate clothing to keep warm.
🚶 Stay alert on slippery roads and walkways.
⚡ Avoid flooded areas and seek shelter during heavy rain or thunderstorms.
💧 Stay healthy by keeping yourself dry and drinking plenty of water.

Every journey brings challenges, moments of doubt, and chances to grow. Through it all, God's Word reminds us that our strength does not come from our own abilities but from Him. 𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐄𝐑 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘: 𝑴𝑺. 𝑳𝑨𝑼𝑹𝒀𝑵 𝑯𝑰𝑳𝑳

Celebrated worldwide for her noteworthy contributions to music, Lauryn Hill has also established herself as a powerful and influential voice beyond records and stages. Through commencement addresses, interviews, and public conversations, she constantly speaks on themes of authenticity, purpose, education, and the courage to remain true in a world that often rewards conformity.

A memorable example of her influence as a speaker was her 2023 commencement address at Alpha Institute in Jamaica. She encouraged Jamaican graduates to embrace uncertainty with confidence, to follow the pursuit of purpose over recognition, and to allow life's experiences to shape them, and not define them. Instead of offering a common advice, Hill invited her audiences to reflect deeply on their own journeys and to recognize growth as an ongoing process.

One of her most great reflections captures this philosophy beautifully:

As speakers and students, we are given the opportunity to use our voices as instruments to make a positive difference.
