I A school principal and concerned citizen, Job Rubi, has drawn public attention to the unfinished “BBM Bridge” project in Barangay Sta. Justina, Buhi, under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Camarines Sur 5th District Engineering Office.

In a social media post addressed to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Rubi wrote: “I hope this will be completed, dear President BBM. Bridge located at Sitio Binobong, Sta. Justina. The budget was from the CY 2023 GAA Fund. Thank you.”

According to the project billboard, construction began on October 9, 2023, with GCI Construction and Development Corporation serving as the contractor. Rubi, however, noted an error on the signage, which incorrectly stated the location as Barangay San Jose Salay instead of Sitio Binobong, Barangay Sta. Justina.

The post has sparked concern among residents, who are calling on authorities to expedite the project’s completion, citing its vital role in local mobility and community access especially the students.
