Booklat Para sa Lahat is a Bugallon-based community project of Liela P. Romero, Master Teacher I of Torres Bugallon Elementary School. It is approved by Schools Division I of Pangasinan. The community-based project seeks to promote community participation to enhance the reading skills and literacy of pupils by conducting a book drive and reading campaign. Considering the importance of education an

d reading, as well as the well-being of Filipinos especially those coming from indigent families, it would be beneficial for pupils to receive quality and upgraded educational materials. With the help of this project, the community can donate used educational materials, books and reference materials, among others to aid the learning of pupils. This page will track the progress of the project, and can be used by individuals or groups who would like to join the project.

November 2024 || Sorry for the late updates! We continue to be very busy with school classes, activities and other programs. But we managed to conduct a reading session.

This session happened last November and it was conducted again at ICS, Poblacion, Bugallon, Pangasinan.

Castro Street Part 1 || Reading is fun when we are all doing it together. But teaching the importance of reading to children is another matter. The Booklat Para Sa Lahat is now on its second phase where several reading campaigns are held in the communities of Barangay Poblacion, Bugallon, Pangasinan. Learners are encouraged to participate in the reading sessions where they learn the importance of reading skills and they are opened to good quality reading materials that can enhance their reading and comprehension skils.

As a part of our reading campaign, we went to the community of Castro Street this time. However, since the community a large one, we decided to hold two sessions there. Here are some snap shots of the first session held in the said community.

Espino Street || We had another great session of our reading campaign!

This time we went to Espino Street. Young learners from the community of Espino St. welcomed us and joined the reading session. They listened to the story telling and were able to read and browse the books brought by Mrs. Liela P. Romero, MT I. Moreover, Mrs. Romero also emphasized the importance of improving their reading and comprehension skills both in their present school days and in their future.

Sitio Calaocan || This time another reading session was held at the community of Sitio Calaocan.

More young learners listened to the story reading. They also listened to the inspiring words of Mrs. Liela P. Romero, MT I, explaining the benefits brought by reading not only to their present studies but also to their future.

Sitio Cocaoc || Another session of our reading campaign was held. This time, the venue was at Sitio Cocaoc.

Young learners from the community joined the reading session. They listened to Mrs. Liela P. Romero, MT I read one of the storybooks. They were also able to read more storybooks and other learning materials brought for the said session.

Through this session, we hope that we are able to show the importance of reading to the children as well as to make them love reading. Because when a child reads, a child grows and learns!

Back of Bugallon Public Market, Barangay Poblacion, Bugallon, Pangasinan || After substantial support from the donors of pre-loved and new books and everyone else that contributed to make this community project possible, we are proud to tell you that we have started our reading campaign!

The other day, we started our first session of reading campaign at the back part of our town's public market. Many young learners of various ages joined us in this session. They were ecstatic to listen to the story-telling of Mrs. Liela P. Romero, MT I. They are also given the chance to browser and read story books and other books brought to their community.

Aside from having a reading session with the eager learners, we were also able to met the generous Marck Navarro Jr., a video content creator, entrepreneur and philanthropist. He encouraged the children to continue reading and to do well in school after taking part in the said session. Sir Marck Navarro Jr., thank you for the inspiring words and for sponsoring our snacks and drinks!

This first session of the reading campaign is the culmination of the hard work and dedication of so many people with the goal to enhance the reading skills and literacy of young learners of Barangay Poblacion, Bugallon, Pangasinan.

Thank you to everyone who donated books, helped in the process of the book drive and to other supporters for your enthusiasm and hard work! Together, let us build a brighter and better future for our learners through the love of reading!

June 23, 2024 || While busily preparing the RPMS portfolio, we are also preparing for the conduct of the reading campaign of the project. One of the steps that will help prepare us is by doing an inventory of the books donated. By keeping a book inventory, we will have a system of knowing which books fall under a certain category and which are appropriate for different age brackets of young learners.
