It all began with a call for support, reaching out across social media, to our very own Lalawigan National High School faculty, staff, students, and SSLG members, plus generous donors from the wider community. Every contribution helped us gather what we needed: school supplies for the children, liquid soap and clothes for attending parents and guardians, and plenty of snacks to share joy all around.
Once donations poured in, we rolled up our sleeves to pack everything with care. When the last gift pack was sealed, our SSLG team took a moment to pause and share snacks together, celebrating the work done and feeling excited for what lay ahead.
On the day itself, everything flowed seamlessly. Our SSLG members and their adviser stepped up with incredible dedication, while the Bayobay Elementary School faculty, staff, and especially the students made the outreach truly special. Their enthusiasm, participation, and cooperation turned every moment into something wonderful.
After the activities wrapped up, we were welcomed to our adviserโs home for lunch, where his wife prepared delicious adobo and the same spaghetti weโd served as snacks for the kids. It was a warm, heartfelt meal shared by all. And with donors being so generous! To cap off the day, we visited Ganap Cave, marveling at the natural beauty surrounding us.
That March 15th, smiles werenโt just on the childrenโs faces, every facilitator felt pure joy from this genuine, overwhelming experience.
Kindness is the most beautiful act we can share, and seeing it light up a smile makes every effort worthwhile.
