From March 23 to 29, CoPE Inc. participated in a comprehensive Child Rights Situation Analysis (CRSA) Training in Davao City, as part of our ongoing project with Kindernothilfe e.V. Philippines (KNH).
โ€‹
This intensive training is a vital pillar of our mission. By utilizing the CRSA framework, we are better equipped to work with children to identify the root causes of rights violations and systemic gaps affecting children in our communities. This technical expertise allows CoPE Inc. to design more effective, rights-based interventions that ensure children are not only protected but are also empowered to participate in their own development.
โ€‹
Strengthening our analytical capacity ensures that our programs remain evidence-based and responsive to the evolving challenges faced by children & youth in Eastern Samar. We remain committed to upholding the highest standards of child protection and advocacy through continuous professional growth.

CoPE joined the Womenโ€™s Association of Borongan City to celebrate Womenโ€™s Month with a focus on advocacy and awareness.

The event highlighted critical social issues through insightful discussions. Our Project Coordinator, Trisha Marie Palada, served as a resource person for a session on the Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC). Additionally, the Eastern Samar Provincial Police Office (ESPPO) also joined to discuss current Cybercrime Trends.

By addressing these pressing issues, we continue our commitment to building a safer, more informed, and resilient community for all.

Marking a monumental step forward for the children and women of Eastern Samar. Kindernothilfe (KNH) and CoPE Inc. officially solidified their commitment through a formal Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony.

This milestone cements the partnership between these organizations and the Local Government Unit of Arteche, providing the legal and operational framework needed to turn vision into action.

By signing this agreement, all parties have pledged to pool their resources, expertise, and heart into "Empowering and Building Resilience among Children & Communities in Artecheโ€, ensuring that the protection of childrenโ€™s rights is not just a goal, but a shared, binding responsibility. With the ink now dry, the groundwork is officially laid to build households and communities where every child can thrive.

On January 21, 2026, CoPe Inc., Kinder nor hilfe (KNH) and the Local Government Unit of Arteche, officially launched the project โ€œEmpowering and Building Resilience among Children and Communities in the Municipality of Arteche, Eastern Samarโ€ or Project EMBRACE.

This one-year initiative seeks to strengthen the local child protection system by addressing issues directly at the household level through the establishment of Self-Help Groups (SHG) for mothers and women. These groups will eventually be federated into Cluster Level Associations (CLAs) to foster barangay-level collaboration and engage duty bearers in creating inclusive, gender-responsive, and child-sensitive mechanisms.

By bridging the gap between community-led action and official policy enforcement, the partnership aims to ensure that the rights and safety of children are protected through sustainable, accessible, and locally-driven prevention and response strategies.
