💗 Helping Hands Organization | Laguna Outreach

Kindness is truly contagious. ❤️

During our recent outreach in Laguna, we had the opportunity to meet one of the volunteers who selflessly joined the team, together with the niece of our beloved CEO, Ma’am Malou Marquez

Her willingness to extend help to people in need is a beautiful reminder that goodness inspires goodness. Through the example of our one and only Ma’am Marilou Marquez, many people have been inspired to share their time, effort, and blessings with others. And we are grateful to discover that there are still so many people who carry the same genuine desire to help. 🙏

As a simple way of expressing our gratitude and appreciation for her kindness, our CEO invited her for a short interview—not only to hear her story, but also to recognize the heart behind her good deed.

Because at Helping Hands Organization, we believe that every act of kindness, no matter how simple, can create a ripple effect and inspire others to do the same.

💗 A Heart Behind Every Act of Kindness | Helping Hands Organization

Today, we had the privilege of interviewing MM Asehan, the niece of our beloved CEO, Ma’am Marilou Marquez, to learn the story behind the recent charity work in Laguna.

For MM, helping others is more than just an act—it comes from a heart that genuinely cares. ❤️ Her kindness and willingness to extend a helping hand to those in need remind us that goodness can be passed from one generation to another.

Indeed, it seems that compassion runs in the family. Through the example of Ma’am Marilou, the spirit of generosity continues to inspire the next generation to serve, care, and make a difference in the lives of others.

RAIN COULDN’T STOP HOPE 😇🙏🏻

CHARITY OUTREACH TOUCHES LIVES IN SAN PEDRO, LAGUNA

August 8, 2026
Maligaya Sais Barangay, Chrysanthemum
San Pedro City, Laguna

The storm clouds were heavy. The streets were wet. But inside the covered court of San Pedro, something stronger than the rain was happening — compassion in action.

Last day, despite bad weather, a charity event pushed through and became a lifeline for families in Sitio Maligaya Sais, San Pedro, Laguna.

WHAT WAS GIVEN
With trembling hands and willing hearts, volunteers distributed:
70 grocery packs — rice, canned goods, noodles, and daily essentials to help families get through the week
70 pairs of slippers — small comforts for children walking to school and parents going to work.

Each pack wasn’t just food. It was dignity. It was relief. It was a reminder that they were not forgotten.

THE HEARTS BEHIND THE MISSION

This outreach was made possible by people who chose to show up:

Kaagapay: Helping Hands Organization youth officers, Brgy. Officials.

Volunteers who packed, carried, and walked through the rain just to make sure no family was missed.

To every volunteer who got wet, who lifted boxes, who smiled through exhaustion — you are the reason this worked.

GRATEFUL IN THE STORM
“We almost cancelled,” one organizer said. “But we prayed. And God made a way.”
Even with the gloomy weather, the turnout was full. Children lined up with umbrellas. Parents waited patiently. And when the goods were handed out, the court was filled not with complaints, but with “thank yous.”

Because sometimes, the darkest days reveal the brightest hearts.

To Ma’am Malou,
This happened because of you.

Your heart to serve, your courage to lead, and your faith that even one pack of groceries can change a family’s day — it inspired all of us.

You didn’t just organize a charity. You reminded an entire community what love looks like.
Thank you for being God’s hands and feet in San Pedro. May the Lord return to you a hundredfold every seed of kindness you’ve sown.

We are forever grateful for you.

The rain fell. But so did blessings.
And in San Pedro last August 8, hope won.

A total of 70 families will be the recipients of grocery packs and slippers as part of our commitment to serve and uplift communities in need.

We extend our sincerest gratitude to our CEO & President, Ma’am Malou Marquez, for her unwavering compassion, generosity, and dedication to helping others. Her leadership continues to inspire us to bring hope and support to more families.

This celebration became even more meaningful as we also celebrated the Baby Shower of the daughter-in-law of our beloved CEO, Ma'am Malou Marquez. Although they are currently living in the USA, their love and happiness were felt all the way here in the Philippines, proving that distance can never separate a family united by love and kindness. ✨
