On March 13, 2026, a Capacity Development cm Seminar on Environmental Awareness was successfully conducted at Casa Carolina Beach Resort,Brgy. Patar Bolinao Pangasinan, The activity gathered different stakeholders such as solid waste management Personnel, (street cleaners, garbage collectors, SLF/MRF Staff, It was also participated by the BESWMC ably represented by the barangay councilors and secretaries of all 30 Barangays, all united in advancing environmental protection and sustainable waste management practices.

LGU Bolinao express gratitude to our Resource Speaker Ma'am Janiela Santos- Environmental Monitoring Officer DENR-EMBR1 for imparting her Knowledge and expertise in RA 9003 or commonly called as Ecological Solid Waste Management.

The seminar focused on enhancing knowledge, strengthening coordination, and reinforcing the critical roles of frontline workers and local leaders in safeguarding the environment. Through collaborative discussions and shared learning.

This event was made successfully by the support and approval of our ever supportive Municipal Mayor Jesus F. Celeste and would not be possible without the generousity of Sangguniang Bayan members, particularly Hon. Gerald Abad and Hon. Christian Caasi.

The collaborative efforts, empowered with practical strategies and a renewed commitment to fostering cleaner, greener, and more resilient communities.

Part 3: LATE UPLOAD

Building environmentally responsible minds through experience 🌍

As part of their Lakbay Aral, students from 𝐓𝐮𝐩𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 engaged in an informative visit to the sanitary landfill, strengthening their awareness of proper waste management and environmental protection. The activity highlighted the significance of material recovery, particularly the role of the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) in waste segregation, recycling, and reducing landfill waste. 🏞️🪴

By understanding how different materials are processed and managed, students developed a clearer perspective on their role in minimizing environmental impact. This learning journey inspires them to practice sustainability and become active contributors to a cleaner and healthier community. 💚🍃

As part of the commitment to environmental Education the Solid Waste Management Under Agriculture Office conducted a "𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐛𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐮𝐫𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦" at Luciente II National High School, engaging students in meaningful discussions and activities on environmental protection. Through this initiative, learners explored the importance of wildlife conservation and solid waste management, gaining practical knowledge on how they can actively contribute to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable community. 💚♻️

This program empowers the youth to become responsible stewards of the environment, fostering a culture of care for our natural resources and biodiversity. 🍃🍀

Another Lakbay aral for Sampaloc National High School with 44 students together with their Advisers.

“As part of its commitment to environmental education, the students of Sampaloc National High School participated in a 'Lakbay Aral Tour' at sanitary landfill facility, gaining valuable exposure to the operations of an integrated solid waste management system. ♻️💚

During the visit, students observed the functions of key facility components such as the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), where recyclable and reusable materials are systematically sorted and recovered, and the shredding equipment, which processes waste into smaller, more manageable sizes to improve efficiency in handling and disposal. They were also introduced to the designated disposal cells that ensure the safe containment of residual waste and protection of the surrounding environment. ☘️🌿

This learning experience strengthened students’ awareness of sustainable waste practices and highlighted their vital role in promoting environmental responsibility and community cleanliness.”🪴🍃

'As part of its experiential learning program, a total of 44 students with their 2 advisers of Zaragoza National High School participated a 'Lakbay Aral Tour' at Sanitary Landfill facility to gain practical knowledge on solid waste management systems. ☘️🍃

During the visit, students were introduced to key components of the facility, including the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), where wastes are sorted, recycled, and prepared for reuse, and the shredding machines, which are used to reduce the size of waste materials to improve handling and processing efficiency. They also observed the proper disposal areas designed to safely contain residual wastes and prevent environmental contamination.🌱🪴

This educational activity enhanced students’ understanding of sustainable waste management practices and reinforced their role in promoting environmental protection and responsible waste disposal within their communities.” 💚♻️

In month of January the first part of distributing of SWM IEC materials was carried out to various barangay in Bolinao, Pangasinan. The importance of distributing the SWM IEC materials is to improve community knowledge about effective waste management and reduction technique.
