💚 GSP BOHOL COUNCILl ELECTS NEW SCPB OFFICERS, AND JJG AND RTV STAFF 🌟

A new set of Girl Scout leaders was chosen as 54 Senior and Cadet Girl Scouts from across Bohol gathered on August 15, 2026, at the GSP Bohol Council Program and Training Center in Tagbilaran City for the election of officers for the Senior and Cadet Planning Board (SCPB), Junior Journalist Guild (JJG), and Radio and Television (RTV) Club. ☘️

Through a member-led voting process, the Girl Scouts exercised their voices and chose representatives who will lead, serve, and represent Girl Scouts across the province of Bohol for the fiscal year 2026–2027. ✨

Following the elections, the newly elected officers of the SCPB, JJG and RTV Staff each conducted their respective meetings. The groups discussed their roles, shared ideas, and carried out their own action planning for upcoming activities and future events of the GSP Bohol Council. The activity was facilitated by Council Commissioner for Program Tita Ethelinda S. Laguitao and Council Executive Tita Priscilla Moonyeen P. Montañez. 📝

These meetings marked the beginning of their term and allowed the new officers to establish their goals and plans for the fiscal year 2026–2027. 💫

Congratulations to all the newly elected officers! May you lead with purpose, serve with dedication, and inspire fellow Girl Scouts throughout Bohol. 🫡💚

✨ GSP BOHOL COUNCIL HOLDS SCPB, JJG, RTV AND SAVER ORIENTATION ✨

On August 15, 2026, 54 Senior and Cadet Girl Scouts from across Bohol gathered at the Bohol Girl Scout Council Program and Training Center in Tagbilaran City for an Orientation on the Senior and Cadet Planning Board (SCPB), Junior Journalist Guild (JJG), Radio and Television (RTV) Club, and Service Auxiliary Volunteers Emergency and Relief (SAVER) Team. 📖

The activity began with an orientation on the history of Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting, led by Council Executive Tita Priscilla Moonyeen P. Montañez, giving the Girl Scouts a deeper appreciation of the movement’s beginnings, values, and enduring mission of empowering girls and young women through leadership and service. 💕

Council Commissioner for Program Tita Ethelinda S. Laguitao led the discussions on the roles and responsibilities of the SCPB, JJG, RTV, and SAVER Team. The Senior and Cadet Girl Scouts then selected their respective clubs, with those who joined the JJG further organized into the Editorial Staff and Radio & Television Broadcasting (RTV) Staff. 📝

It was a day of learning, preparation, and getting ready to serve the Girl Scout community and the people of Bohol! 💚

🍀 GSP Bohol Council Joins the Nation in Celebrating National Disability Rights Week 🍀

We believe that every girl, with or without disability, deserves equal opportunities to learn, lead, and serve. This week, we celebrate the strengths, talents, and leadership of girls and women with disabilities while reaffirming our commitment to building an inclusive Girl Scouting community where every girl is empowered to reach their fullest potential.

In support of this year’s theme: “Rights First, Legislation Forward – Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development”, all Girl Scout troops in schools are encouraged to actively participate and organize meaningful activities throughout the celebratory week. Suggested activities include:

💚 Displaying an NDRW streamer or banner in your classroom or school.
💚 Creating and posting a slogan, poster, or feature about “A Day with the Girl Scouts with Special Needs” on Facebook using the hashtags

💚 Organizing an activity for Girl Scouts with special needs featuring games, songs, dances, talent presentations and recitation of the “Panata ng Isang Tagapagtaguyod ng Karapatan at Pribilehiyo ng mga May Kapansanan”.

🍀 80 Girl Scouts and Adult Leaders Attend Orientation on GSP Community Development Projects 🍀

The Girl Scouts of the Philippines, Bohol Girl Scout Council conducted an Orientation on the Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme (CGSMS), Pilar Hidalgo Lim Troop Achievement Award (PHL TAA), and Magic Spot Project on July 18, 2026 at the Council Program and Training Center, Tagbilaran City, with 80 girl and adult participants in attendance.

The orientation provided an overview of the objectives, requirements, implementation, and documentation of the three GSP special programs, which aim to promote leadership, service, and community development through individual and troop initiatives. A session on the basics and history of Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting was also included to deepen the participants' understanding of the Girl Scout Movement.

The sessions were facilitated by Credentialed Trainers, Ethelinda S. Laguitao, Commissioner for Program; and Priscilla Moonyeen P. Montaňez, Council Executive.

🍀Is your troop ready to make a lasting difference in your school or community?

The Bohol Girl Scout Council invites Junior, Senior, and Cadet Girl Scout Troops interested in taking on the Pilar Hidalgo Lim Troop Achievement Award and Magic Spot Project to attend the Orientation on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.

These two GSP Programs are one-year community development projects designed to empower troops to identify community needs, plan meaningful initiatives, and implement sustainable projects that create a positive and lasting impact. Along the way, troops will strengthen teamwork, leadership, service, and project management skills while living out the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

💚Ready to take on the challenge? Troop Leaders are encouraged to discuss these exciting opportunities with their Girl Scouts and attend the orientation together. Throughout this one-year journey, the troop will work hand in hand to plan, implement, and successfully complete a meaningful community development project.

Together, let’s turn ideas into action and make a meaningful difference – one project, one community, one troop at a time.

🌟 Calling All Aspiring Chief Girl Scout Awardees! 🌟

Do you have the passion to serve your community and create a lasting impact? Take the first step toward earning the Chief Girl Scout Medal- the highest award in Girl Scouting!

The Bohol Girl Scout Council invites all interested Senior and Cadet Girl Scouts and their Troop Leaders to attend the Orientation on the Chief Girl Scout Medal Scheme (CGSMS) on Saturday, July 18, 8:00 a.m.

The CGSMS is a one-year community development project that provides Girl Scouts with the opportunity to develop their leadership skills while planning and implementing a project that addresses the needs of their community.

💚 Interested in taking on the challenge girls? Share your interest with your Troop Leader and join the orientation together. As your mentor throughout this one-year journey, your Troop Leader will guide and support you in planning, implementing, and successfully completing your project.

🍀 If you are passionate about leadership, service, and making a meaningful difference in your community, this opportunity is for you!

All participants are required to confirm their attendance by submitting the Reply Slip issued by the Council through the District Field Advisers.

☘️ 2024 SMFC Raffle Draw Winners Claim Their Prizes ☘️

The 2024 Sustaining Membership Fund Campaign (SMFC) Raffle Draw, a major highlight of the Bohol Girl Scout Council, was held on October 16, 2025, at the Council Program and Training Center, scheduled during the Council’s 77th Anniversary celebration.

We are delighted to announce that the following winners have successfully claimed their prizes, accompanied by their mothers:

🏆 Grand Prize: Jeziel Tagotongan – Bilar National High School, Bilar
🥈 First Prize: Kaye Edreane Namoc – Lila National High School, Lila
🥉 Third Prize: Megan Tiffany S. Esagre – San Roque National High School, Mabini

The cash prizes were formally awarded by Council Executive Priscilla Moonyeen P. Montaňez on November 21, 2025, at the Council Program and Training Center, Tagbilaran City.
