“Breaking the cycle of gender-based violence starts with listening, believing, and protecting every voice.”
The PYAP officers and members proudly participated in the gathering of youth organizations in the City of Bogo, where important discussions focused on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) cases in the city and Mental Health Awareness.
The activity emphasized the importance of recognizing the different forms of gender-based violence, promoting respect and equality, encouraging safe spaces for victims and survivors, and empowering the youth to become advocates for prevention and positive change. It also highlighted the significance of mental health, reminding us that seeking support is a sign of strength and that everyone deserves access to care, understanding, and compassion.
As young leaders, we are inspired to become responsible advocates who will help raise awareness, speak out against violence, promote gender equality, and contribute to building a safer, more inclusive, and mentally healthy community for everyone.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the City Government of Bogo for organizing this meaningful and informative activity. Our sincere appreciation also goes to our beloved City Mayor, Maria Cielo “Mayel” Martinez, for her unwavering support and commitment to empowering the youth through programs that promote awareness, education, and well-being. Your dedication to creating a safer, more inclusive, and compassionate community continues to inspire us to become active partners in building a better future for all.
Thank you for providing opportunities that equip the youth with knowledge, strengthen our mental health, and encourage us to become advocates for positive change.
