Gipasidunggan ang City of Bogo isip usa sa High Performing Cities sa Lalawigan sa Sugbo sa C.Y. 2025 Peace and Order Council (POC) Performance Audit nga gipahigayon sa Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Sugbo.

Ang POC Performance Audit usa ka tinuig nga evaluation nga nagtan-aw sa performance sa Local Government Unit sa pagdumala sa kalinaw ug kahapsay, seguridad sa komunidad, ug public safety. Kini usab usa sa mga importanteng sukdanan sa pagka-angayan sa usa ka LGU alang sa Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

Ang ebalwasyon gibase sa duha ka nag-unang aspeto:

✅ Functionality Indicators (70%) – nagtan-aw sa pagka- episyente sa paglihok sa Peace and Order Council, regular nga mga miting, pagsunod sa mga polisiya, ug lig-on nga koordinasyon sa tanang miyembro ug partner agencies.
✅ Development Indicators (30%) – nag-evaluate sa tinuod nga resulta sa mga programa ug aksyon sa LGU, lakip ang pagpaubos sa kriminalidad, kusganong pakigpagbatukan sa ilegal nga droga, ug pagpalig-on sa kaluwasan sa katawhan.

Maayo nga lakang ang padayon nga validation ug re-orientation aron mapadayon ang Drug-Cleared Status sa Dakbayan sa Bogo. Apan aron mas mosalig ang katawhan ug mas lig-on ang kampanya batok sa ilegal nga druga, kinahanglan adunay konkreto ug makita nga aksyon.

Usa sa akong sugyot mao nga ang tanang Barangay Officials, Barangay Staff, ug labi na ang mga Barangay Tanod nga naa sa frontline sa anti-drug campaign, boluntaryong mopailalom sa random drug testing ug mopirma sa waiver isip pagpakita sa transparency ug integridad sa ilang serbisyo.

Kung walay gitago, walay angay kahadlokan. Kini dili aron pasanginlan ang bisan kinsa, kondili aron mapapas ang tanang duda ug mapalig-on ang pagsalig sa publiko.

BOGO CITY POLICE NET HIGH-VALUE DRUG PERSONALITY, SEIZE ₱782,000 WORTH OF SHABU IN MAJOR BUY-BUST OPERATION

A High-Value Individual (HVI) involved in the illegal drug trade was arrested, while more than 115 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱782,000.00 was confiscated during a major buy-bust operation conducted by the Bogo City Police Station in Barangay Sto. Rosario, Bogo City, in the early hours of June 27, 2026.

The anti-illegal drug operation was carried out by operatives of the Bogo City Police Station's Intelligence and City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-7) .

The primary target was arrested after selling suspected shabu to an undercover police operative, leading to the successful implementation of the buy-bust operation. Two other individuals who were present during the operation were also apprehended after authorities recovered additional suspected shabu from one of them.

Recovered during the operation were one sachet of suspected shabu sold to the poseur-buyer, thirty-four additional sachets of suspected shabu from the primary suspect, and two more sachets recovered from another arrested individual, with the total weight estimated at 115 grams and an estimated SDP of ₱782,000.00. Authorities also confiscated the marked buy-bust money, cash believed to be proceeds of illegal drug transactions amounting to ₱16,363.00, and several personal containers allegedly used in the storage of illegal drugs.

Initial investigation revealed that the arrested High-Value Individual had allegedly been engaged in the distribution of illegal drugs within Bogo City and nearby communities, making him a priority target of law enforcement authorities.

The arrested individuals are now under the custody of the Bogo City Police Station for documentation and the filing of appropriate charges for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The confiscated drug evidence will be submitted to the Cebu Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.

PCOL ABUBAKAR UDANG MANGELEN JR., Provincial Director of the Cebu Police Provincial Office, commended the operating team for the successful operation, emphasizing that the arrest of a High-Value Individual and the confiscation of a substantial volume of illegal drugs underscore the intensified anti-drug campaign of the Cebu Police Provincial Office. "The successful arrest of another High-Value Individual and the recovery of a significant volume of illegal drugs demonstrate our unwavering commitment to dismantling drug networks operating in Cebu Province. We will continue to intensify intelligence-driven operations and strengthen our partnership with PDEA and other law enforcement agencies to ensure that individuals involved in the illegal drug trade are brought before the courts. Our campaign against illegal drugs remains relentless as we strive to protect every Cebuano from the dangers of narcotics," PCOL Mangelen said.

The Cebu Police Provincial Office continues to encourage the public to actively support law enforcement efforts by reporting suspicious drug-related activities, reaffirming that community cooperation remains vital in achieving safer and drug-free communities throughout Cebu Province.

If we elevate the authority of the International Criminal Court above our own Supreme Court of the Philippines, then it raises a serious constitutional and sovereignty issue.
Under the Philippine legal system, the Supreme Court remains the highest judicial authority in the country. Any implication that another foreign tribunal automatically supersedes it may be viewed as disregarding the independence of our judiciary and the principle of national sovereignty.

🚨 NORTH CEBU, WE NEED TO ACT NOW. ILLEGAL DRUGS IS BECOMING A COMMUNITY EMERGENCY. 🚨

Dili na ni ordinary nga concern rampant illegal drug activities are destroying families, threatening public safety, and putting our youth at risk.
From some pushers and users involving different sectors drivers, tricycle and habal-habal drivers, fishermen, construction workers, lending collectors, some employees, students, and even minors allegedly being exploited as drug runners—this is alarming and cannot be ignored.
Under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165), the use, sale, distribution, and recruitment of others into illegal drug activities are serious criminal offenses. Using minors in criminal activity is even more disturbing and may trigger stronger liabilities under laws protecting children.
