🚨 NORTH CEBU, WE NEED TO ACT NOW. ILLEGAL DRUGS IS BECOMING A COMMUNITY EMERGENCY. 🚨

Dili na ni ordinary nga concern rampant illegal drug activities are destroying families, threatening public safety, and putting our youth at risk.
From some pushers and users involving different sectors drivers, tricycle and habal-habal drivers, fishermen, construction workers, lending collectors, some employees, students, and even minors allegedly being exploited as drug runners—this is alarming and cannot be ignored.
Under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 (RA 9165), the use, sale, distribution, and recruitment of others into illegal drug activities are serious criminal offenses. Using minors in criminal activity is even more disturbing and may trigger stronger liabilities under laws protecting children.
⚖️ This is not just a law enforcement issue. It is a community responsibility.
If we stay silent, mas modako ang problema.

📢 Immediate action is needed:

âś… Report suspicious drug transactions or activities to authorities
âś… Support barangay anti-drug programs and community watch efforts
âś… Protect our youth from recruitment and exploitation
âś… Strengthen rehabilitation, prevention, and enforcement
âś… Demand serious and sustained action from concerned agencies.

Kung naa moy nahibaw-an nga kadudahan nga kalihokan, ayaw kahadlok ug report. One tip could save lives, protect families, and stop crime.
Illegal drugs do not only ruin users—it fuels theft, violence, accidents, broken homes, and fear in communities.
North Cebu deserves safer streets.
Our children deserve protection.
Our communities deserve peace.
🛑 No tolerance for illegal drugs. No silence. No turning a blind eye.
Report suspicious illegal transactions. Be part of the solution.

Information and reports can be relayed with strict confidentiality.
🔒 All information from concerned citizens will be treated as extremely confidential, and handled discreetly — only the Chief and authorized authorities will know the identity of informants.

AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL

Dear Fellow Citizens,

As we approach another crucial election season, we must uphold the integrity of our democratic process by ensuring that campaigns are conducted fairly and in accordance with the law.

Under Republic Act 9006, also known as the Fair Election Act, and as reinforced by COMELEC Resolution No. 10730, the posting of campaign materials on public utility vehicles (PUVs)—including buses, jeepneys, and taxis—is strictly prohibited. This regulation exists to maintain order, prevent excessive clutter in public spaces, and promote fairness in political advertising.

Consequences of Violating this Rule

Anyone found violating this provision may face:

Removal of Illegal Campaign Materials – COMELEC and other authorities are empowered to take down unauthorized posters or stickers at the violator’s expense.

Administrative and Criminal Charges – Candidates and supporters who fail to comply could be subject to election offenses, which may include fines or even disqualification from running for office.

Penalties for Public Utility Vehicle Operators – Owners or operators of PUVs that allow political ads may face sanctions, including suspension or revocation of their franchise.

We call on all candidates, political parties, and supporters to respect these guidelines and avoid using public transportation as a medium for campaign promotions. Furthermore, we urge the public and transport operators to remain vigilant and report any violations to the proper authorities.

Let us work together to ensure a clean, lawful, and orderly election process. Fairness and integrity must be at the heart of our democratic exercise.
