MarSUAFI Proud Sponsor of the BRIDGE Program “Payakap” for PDLs.
Last Thursday, December 19, 2025, the Marinduque State University Alumni Federation, Inc. (MarSUAFI) proudly served as one of the sponsors of the BRIDGE Program, fondly known as “Payakap,” held at the Marinduque Provincial Jail.
With MarSUAFI President Carmencita D. L. Laus as the resource speaker, the activity became a moving encounter filled with compassion, healing, and renewed hope. Her message touched many hearts, inspiring generosity and an outpouring of support through meaningful donations.
The program was further enriched by Pastora Krizzia Kate Yuson, who shared the Word of God with sincerity and grace. Her testimony and personal story deeply resonated with many, reminding everyone that faith, forgiveness, and transformation are always possible.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. April M. Monilla, whose dedicated service in conducting medical checkups for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) reflected genuine care for their health, dignity, and well-being.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Warden Rolando Togonon Jr. and the dedicated staff of the Marinduque Provincial Jail for their full support, cooperation, and commitment to the welfare and rehabilitation of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs).
Special recognition is given to the Project Leaders of the BRIDGE Program for PDLs, whose vision and dedication made this initiative possible. We sincerely hope for the full approval and continued implementation of this program, as we firmly believe that every individual deserves a second chance one that can lead to positive transformation and meaningful contributions to the community.
MarSUAFI is honored to support programs aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities), SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)strengthening inclusive communities through collaboration, compassion, and shared responsibility.
Our deepest gratitude also goes to our partners the College of Business and Accountancy – BSBA-HRM Students Organization and the College of Governance for their unwavering support and spirit of service.
Together, we continue to build bridges of hope, dignity, and second chances one payakap at a time. 💙
