𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝘽𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨, 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧𝙨 — a meaningful start to a journey of learning, growth, and service as future social workers.

On July 30, 2026, the Social Work Society successfully conducted its Orientation Program at the MarSU TLE Rooftop for freshmen and continuing Social Work students. The program began at 8 AM and was hosted by Ma'am May Ann Bañaga. The event featured an inspiring message from our College Dean, Dr. Ernesto Largado, who emphasized the importance of perseverance, discipline, and continuous learning in achieving academic success.

A significant part of the program was the discussion of the institution's Mission, Vision, and Core Values led by Mrs. Rosalinda E. Punzalan, which provided students with a deeper understanding of the principles and goals that shape the academic community. The orientation also included the introduction of the Social Work faculty members, allowing students to become familiar with the mentors who will guide them throughout their academic journey, while interactive activities helped maintain an engaging and welcoming atmosphere.

The election of the new set of student leaders who will serve the Social Work Society for the Academic Year 2026-2027 was also conducted during the program.

In the afternoon, the outgoing officers of Social Work Society, together with Ms. Norilie Dela Cruz, SWS Adviser, gathered for an evaluation and reflection. They shared their experiences and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to serve the organization.

As we welcome new students and a new set of student leaders may this new beginning inspire everyone to continue learning, growing and serving with compassion and dedication. ⭐
