π‹πŽπŽπŠ | In anticipation of the possible effects of Super Typhoon Bavi, Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur, under the leadership of Ensign Mark Rudolf G. Garcia, PCG, has intensified its preparedness and response measures to ensure the safety and security of the maritime community and the general public.

CGSSDS personnel are actively implementing the 3 Ps of Typhoon Preparednessβ€”Pre-Emptive, Preventive, and Proactive Measures, which include the issuance of vessel advisories, monitoring weather developments, coordinating with local government agencies and partner stakeholders, preparing search and rescue (SAR) equipment, securing Coast Guard assets, conducting information dissemination, and maintaining a heightened state of readiness.

Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 1505th Squadron Conduct Feeding Activity in Bislig City

BISLIG CITY – In line with its commitment to community service and humanitarian outreach, the Philippine Coast Guard through the Coast Guard Station Surigao del Sur (CGSSDS), in partnership with the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary 1505th Squadron, successfully conducted a Feeding Activity on May 9, 2026, at Purok 3, Marketsite District, Mangagoy, Bislig City.

Carrying the theme, β€œServing the Community Through Compassion and Unity,” the activity gathered volunteers, community leaders, and beneficiaries in a meaningful afternoon dedicated to service and care for children and residents in the area.

The highlight of the event was the feeding proper, followed by games and interaction activities that brought joy and encouragement to the beneficiaries. The activity concluded with closing messages, photo opportunities, and a collective clean-up effort participated in by all personnel and volunteers.

The organizers expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, volunteers, and community members who contributed to the success of the activity. Through initiatives like this, the PCG and PCGA continue to strengthen their role not only in maritime safety and security, but also in fostering compassion, unity, and public service within communities.
