SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Today, August 15, we joyfully celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, when Mary, at the end of her earthly life, was taken body and soul into the glory of Heaven.

Mary’s Assumption reminds us of the hope that awaits all who remain faithful to God. Through her humble “Yes,” she shows us how to trust, surrender, and allow God’s will to unfold in our lives.

On this beautiful solemnity, may we ask our Blessed Mother to continue guiding us closer to her Son, Jesus, and to help us live with deeper faith, hope, and love.

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” — Luke 1:46–47

Our Lady of the Assumption, pray for us.
Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

The Saint Who Changed the World Through Prayer

Before he became one of the Church's greatest preachers, St. Dominic de Guzmán became a man of deep prayer, placing his confidence in Jesus Christ through the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

During a time when the faith was under attack, Pope Leo XIII praised St. Dominic as one who "put all his trust in our Lady's Rosary," preaching the Gospel with courage and leading countless souls back to Christ.

The Church's tradition also remembers that Our Lady entrusted St. Dominic with spreading devotion to the Holy Rosary, a prayer that has nourished generations of Christians in contemplating the mysteries of Christ and growing in holiness.

While historians continue to study the earliest documentary history of the Rosary, the Church has consistently honored St. Dominic as a model of Marian devotion whose preaching and apostolic zeal helped spread this beloved prayer throughout the Christian world.

This August 8, on the Solemnity of St. Dominic de Guzmán, may his example inspire us to love the truth, preach with charity, and remain steadfast in praying the Holy Rosary.

St. Dominic de Guzmán, pray for us.

Loving and Gracious God, we thank You for the gift of life and for the abundant graces You have bestowed upon our dear Father Raymond Mi, O.P.

We praise You for his vocation as a Dominican priest and for his selfless dedication in shepherding the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Province.

On his birthday, we humbly ask You to shower him with Your continued blessings. Grant him the gift of good health, strength of mind, and peace of heart. As he leads and guides his flock, fill him with Your Holy Spirit’s wisdom, discernment, and profound joy.

May our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary, whom he so faithfully serves, always keep him under her mantle of protection. May she wrap him in her maternal care and guide his every step as he continues his mission of spreading the Gospel. Bless his days with countless reasons to smile and the comforting love of the community he serves. May You, O Lord, continue to prosper his works and keep him steadfast in Your love. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.

Our hearts are heavy as we process the very recent tragic shooting at one school in Tacloban and stabbing at one school in Cavite. During this time of intense grief and confusion, we must come together to support one another.

This event is open to all students, parents and teachers to join the community discussion about the tragedies through both psychological and spiritual lens, and focused on healing both our minds and our spirits.

🔥 EMBERS: Spreading the Fire of the Holy Spirit🔥

The 32nd FCCY Convention may have ended, but the fire of the Holy Spirit continues to burn in our hearts.

Last Saturday, our Binondo delegates joined once again for EMBERS, a Post-Convention Gathering in FCCY Damar Chapter to remember, reflect, and renew the grace we received through STRONGER: Sealed with the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. Through prayer, animation, small group sharing, creative reflection, and fellowship, we were reminded that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are not meant to stay within us—they are meant to be lived out in our families, schools, parishes, and communities.

The convention was never the finish line. It was only the beginning.

May the embers we carried home continue to ignite hearts, strengthen our faith, and inspire us to answer God’s call with courage, joy, and love. As sealed disciples, may we never allow the flame to fade, but continue to share its warmth with everyone we meet.

Thank you to everyone who made this gathering possible and to every delegate who chose to come back, not just to remember the experience, but to recommit to the mission.

The fire still burns. The mission continues. ❤️🔥

“Fan into flame the gift of God that is within you.” — 2 Timothy 1:6

As we bid farewell to June, the month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, let us always carry His love and mercy in our hearts.

As we welcome July, the month of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus, may we remember the great price of our redemption and draw ever closer to Christ, trusting in His saving love.
