FEAST OF THE HOLY GUARDIAN ANGELS | OCTOBER 2

Today, we thank God for the gift of our Guardian Angels—faithful companions entrusted to watch over us, guide us toward what is good, and accompany us throughout our earthly journey.

In moments of uncertainty, fear, or difficulty, may we remember that God’s loving care is always near. May our Guardian Angels help lead our hearts closer to Christ and protect us from everything that draws us away from Him.

“For he commands his angels with regard to you, to guard you wherever you go.” — Psalm 91:11

Holy Guardian Angels, watch over us, guide us, and pray for us. Amen. 🙏

Happy Feast of the Holy Guardian Angels! 🤍

FEAST OF THE HOLY ARCHANGELS

St. Michael • St. Gabriel • St. Raphael

Today, we join the Church in celebrating the Feast of the Holy Archangels—God’s faithful messengers and servants.

🛡️ St. Michael, defend us in our battles.
🤍 St. Gabriel, help us listen and respond to God’s call.
🌿 St. Raphael, accompany us on our journey and bring God’s healing.

May their example remind us, especially as young Catholics, to remain faithful, courageous, and always ready to say “Yes” to God’s mission.

Today, we honor the first Filipino saint St. Lorenzo Ruiz. St. Lorenzo, born in Manila to a Filipino woman and a Chinese man, was an ordinary man—husband, father, and provider—until life suddenly turned upside down. Falsely accused of a crime, he fled with Dominican missionaries and ended up in Japan, where Christians were being persecuted. Faced with torture and death, he stood firm and declared: “𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙖 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙣, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙙𝙞𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙃𝙞𝙢 𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙨𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙞𝙛 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢.”

Canonized in 1987, he became the very first Filipino saint and is now the patron of Filipino youth. His courage reminds us that even in the hardest moments, faith can carry us through.

May St. Lorenzo inspire us to stand 𝕤𝕥𝕣𝕠𝕟𝕘𝕖𝕣 against the trials and injustices of our time.

Today, we joyfully celebrate the birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. 💙

Mary’s birth marks the beginning of a beautiful part of God’s plan of salvation. Through her humble “yes”, she became an instrument of God’s love and brought Christ into the world.

As we celebrate her nativity, may we be inspired by Mary’s humility, obedience, and unwavering faith. May we also learn to trust in God’s plans for our lives and allow Him to work through us in ways both big and small. 🙏🏻

Happy Birthday, Mama Mary! 💙🤍
Our Lady, Mother of God, pray for us.

SOLEMNITY OF THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY

Today, August 15, we joyfully celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, when Mary, at the end of her earthly life, was taken body and soul into the glory of Heaven.

Mary’s Assumption reminds us of the hope that awaits all who remain faithful to God. Through her humble “Yes,” she shows us how to trust, surrender, and allow God’s will to unfold in our lives.

On this beautiful solemnity, may we ask our Blessed Mother to continue guiding us closer to her Son, Jesus, and to help us live with deeper faith, hope, and love.

“My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior.” — Luke 1:46–47

Our Lady of the Assumption, pray for us.
Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us.

The Saint Who Changed the World Through Prayer

Before he became one of the Church's greatest preachers, St. Dominic de Guzmán became a man of deep prayer, placing his confidence in Jesus Christ through the loving intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

During a time when the faith was under attack, Pope Leo XIII praised St. Dominic as one who "put all his trust in our Lady's Rosary," preaching the Gospel with courage and leading countless souls back to Christ.

The Church's tradition also remembers that Our Lady entrusted St. Dominic with spreading devotion to the Holy Rosary, a prayer that has nourished generations of Christians in contemplating the mysteries of Christ and growing in holiness.

While historians continue to study the earliest documentary history of the Rosary, the Church has consistently honored St. Dominic as a model of Marian devotion whose preaching and apostolic zeal helped spread this beloved prayer throughout the Christian world.

This August 8, on the Solemnity of St. Dominic de Guzmán, may his example inspire us to love the truth, preach with charity, and remain steadfast in praying the Holy Rosary.

St. Dominic de Guzmán, pray for us.
