DOWEL. Ano nga ba ito?

A dowel in cakes is a support stick placed inside a cake to help it hold up weight, support the cake structure, especially for tiered or stacked cakes.

What dowels do:
•Support upper tiers so the cake doesn’t sink
•Distribute weight evenly
•Prevent collapsing or leaning

Common types of cake dowels:
•Wooden dowels/BBQ sticks – traditional, strong
•Plastic dowels – food-safe, easier to cut
•Bubble tea straws – used for lighter cakes (very common now)

When you need dowels:
•Two-tier or more cakes
•Tall cakes
•Heavy cakes (fondant, ganache, dense fillings)

👉 Think of dowels like the posts of a building, the cake may look soft outside, but it needs structure inside.

Subject: Unauthorized Use of BHBC Community Admin’s Name

Dear Valued Supplier,

The BHBC Community has been made aware of individuals or groups who are soliciting support or sponsorships using the name of our community. It has further come to our attention that the name of our BHBC Admin, Ms. Edna, has been wrongfully associated with these activities.

We wish to make the following clear:

1. Ms. Edna has never been, and is not, involved in any solicitation activities on behalf of the BHBC Community.

2. Any solicitation, request, or proposal using her name is unauthorized, fraudulent, and not connected with our community in any way.

3. The BHBC Community communicates only through our official and recognized channels. Any information or request that does not come from these channels must be considered invalid.

4. We have also noted that the same group engaged in these solicitations has been spreading false and damaging statements against BHBC Community. Such actions constitute misrepresentation and defamation, which we strongly condemn and will not tolerate.

We urge all suppliers to exercise vigilance and verify any requests that claim to represent BHBC Community. Should you encounter such solicitations or defamatory remarks, kindly disregard them and report the matter to us immediately so that we may take appropriate action.

Please be advised that the BHBC Community reserves the right to pursue legal action against any individual or group found to be engaging in misrepresentation, defamation, or any fraudulent use of our community’s name.
