Our department proudly presents the two pre-service teachers who will demonstrate their practical and creative skills in teaching for PAPSET 2026 National Convention.

𝗠𝘀. 𝗝𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 will demonstrate a lesson of 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙤 𝟖 entitled, “𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘴𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘴 𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘞𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘶𝘨𝘰𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘔𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢 𝘕𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘣 𝘯𝘢 𝘔𝘢𝘶𝘣𝘰𝘴 𝘯𝘢 𝘏𝘢𝘺𝘰𝘱 𝘢𝘵 𝘏𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯 (𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘴)”

And Ms. Charry Valdez will also discuss 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙠𝙖𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙤 𝟖 lesson entitled, “𝘔𝘨𝘢 𝘒𝘪𝘭𝘰𝘴 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘬𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘩𝘰𝘬 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺𝘢 𝘴𝘢 𝘮𝘨𝘢𝘎𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘱𝘢𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘉𝘢𝘺𝘢𝘯”.

The 𝘗𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘈𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘗𝘳𝘦-𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘛𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘴 (𝘗𝘈𝘗𝘚𝘌𝘛) 2026 𝘕𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 will be hosted by our institution this April 13-14. One key event of this year’s National Convention is the 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙋𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

The CTE Values Education department conducted a online general orientation for 4th year pre-service teachers in preparation for the upcoming PAPSET 2026 National Convention which will happen on April 13-14, 2026 and will be hosted by our beloved institution, UEP.

This online general orientation served as a clarifying outlet for the participants. The Values Education Program Coordinator, Sir Hannani Tara led the dissemination of information about the event, revelation of research presenters, teaching demonstrators, dress codes, program flow, and the ethical behaviors that should be displayed during the said event.

It ended with everyone being cleared and informed about the upcoming event, hence, we are all excited and ready for the PAPSET 2026 National Convention!.

𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 | 𝘽𝙎𝙀𝙙 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙪𝙚𝙨 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙟𝙤𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝟑𝙧𝙙 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙌𝙪𝙞𝙯 𝘽𝙚𝙚 & 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙙 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙨

In a recently concluded 3rd National Teacher Education Quiz Bee - Institutional Round conducted by CBRC-Urdaneta, held at University of Eastern Pangasinan this 27th day of March, 2026, the Values Education department actively participated by choosing and sending 2 representatives—Ms. Jelah M. Flores, 4th Year PST, and Ms. Hannah Joy L. Toje, 3rd Year PST.

Furthermore, as the result came in, Ms. Flores 𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝟒 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝟐𝟎 participants and is qualified to participate and represent UEP in the provincial level together with Mr. Jovan Mensalvas--first, Mr. John Philip Bunao--second, Ms. Hammy Tubera--third, and Mr. Marinold Nachor--fifth. And as for Ms. Toje, she finished 𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙚𝙙 𝟗 in the said event. With this, we warmly congratulate them, as well as all the participants. You did well!

Truly, this result revealed that the Values Education Department is not falling behind. And UEP-CTE is the house of . 𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘝𝘢𝘭𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘌𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶!

Additionally, PADAYON to all the qualifiers who will advance to the next level. Also, this is an encouragement to everyone to participate and to bring out your knowledge and skills to every upcoming event.

𝑾𝑶𝑴𝑬𝑵'𝒔 𝑴𝑶𝑵𝑻𝑯 𝑹𝑬𝑪𝑨𝑷!

The month of March was chosen in which women will be celebrated, although on all days of the year, all women deserve to be celebrated. Valere Educere has championed four pre-service teachers in highlighting the importance of this month through sharing their narrative thoughts about empowerment.

Ms. Jhelyn Gonzales started with expounding the idea that women are most commonly known for their strength in caring. This signifies their true love and passion to our society. "Pag-ibig at Pagbabago" announces the concept of women weaving values for their children, the people whom they cared for. Their love became the backbone of our societal morality.

Then Ms. Hannah Joy Toje revealed the history of women in fighting for their rights as they resisted the patriarchal system of our society. Women are for the streets, and yes, indeed, they should be in the streets. Without the women in the streets, we are not able to celebrate their significance in this world. "Rosas ng Digma" is a collectivistic perspective about women and activism, which are vital in this celebration.

After which, Ms. Clarisse Arbalate touched on the trend of our society today, the face value of women. "Barbie on Duty" magnified the importance of beauty culture to women and the reality that it doesn't only end there. There's more to what we can only see on the surface. From the outward beauty that they have, they also have something within that aligns wonderfully. Not just plastic, but beings with hearts.

Then Ms. Chelsea Dionio ended with the article of the misogynistic and stereotypical expectations of men of women's way of running-- weakness. Just like every horror movie, women are expected to be just the weakling character and tone down the role of being brave and courageous. This breaking point underscores the idea that women can run as fast as they can, not because they are weak but because they know their worth.

In many movies, women often appear frightened when danger arises. The phrase “run like a girl” has frequently been used to mock them, suggesting that fleeing shows weakness. However, in real life, running like a girl represents courage. It involves taking action, confronting challenges directly, and surviving with grace and determination. Women run not just to escape, but to protect, to fight another day, and to become stronger than before.

‎Life presents challenges to everyone, but women face some uniquely. From juggling work and family to breaking barriers in their careers and standing up for what’s right, women consistently demonstrate resilience. Every step taken, every "run" made, is not an act of fear; it’s a move toward growth, self-discovery, and empowerment. It’s a reminder that strength isn’t always loud; sometimes it’s quiet, steady, and unstoppable.

‎“Kung kaya ng iba, kaya ko rin” is a phrase many women live by. It reminds us that challenges should be faced with confidence and determination. Women inspire others not only through significant victories but also in everyday actions, like finishing projects despite fatigue, speaking out in tough situations, or simply hanging on when life feels heavy. Every action, no matter how small, reflects courage over fear.

‎Running like a girl also shows us the value of adaptability. Life isn’t always straightforward, and sometimes it’s wiser to step back, evaluate, and move forward in a new way. Women demonstrate that it’s okay to change direction, to pivot, and to embrace different paths. True strength lies in knowing when to push forward and when to take care of oneself.

During the first day of Midterm Examination (March 25, 2026), some BSEd Values Education 3rd Year Pre-Service Teachers failed to observe and follow uniform protocol, yet it is also the best time for them to face the consequences of their actions and be accountable with it through rendering community service. They grabbed garbage bags and roamed around the university ground and maintained a garbage-free environment. This initiative was imposed by the Program Coordinator of BSEd Values Education -- Sir Hannani Tara.

New learnings & realizations, and an avenue for a cleaner environment, living our core value of being Malinis.

For many years, the word Barbie has been associated with beauty, fashion, and perfection. Some say it is only about looks, style, and polish. But being a Barbie on Duty is more than that. It is about confidence, strength, compassion, and courage — the ability to stand tall, act responsibly, and inspire others while embracing who you truly are. In our culture, women are often described as kikay, bebot, kakaibabe, and diyosa. These identities show the many ways Filipinas express themselves and contribute to society.

𝙆𝙞𝙠𝙖𝙮represents creativity and self-expression. She enjoys fashion, makeup, and personal style, but also shows confidence in her choices. Celebrities like Heart Evangelista exemplify this, turning beauty into a form of art and individuality.

𝘽𝙚𝙗𝙤𝙩 is playful, confident, and full of personality. She’s a “babe” not just because of how she looks, but because of the energy, charm, and confidence she carries. She expresses herself through her style and creativity, like the modern Bebot, Anne Curtis. More than her appearance, she spreads joy, positivity, and confidence, inspiring others to embrace their own uniqueness.

𝙆𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙞𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙚 stands out through uniqueness and independence. She challenges norms and expresses herself boldly. Nadine Lustre shows that being different is not a weakness but a source of empowerment.

𝘿𝙮𝙤𝙨𝙖 symbolizes grace, influence, and courage. Beyond beauty, she inspires through action and advocacy. Catriona Gray reflects this, showing that true beauty shines through purpose, leadership, and care for others.

Our society is filled with a lot of definitions about womanhood. It speaks about beauty and physical attributes. Womanhood can still be about face, but it doesn't ends there. It's not only about face value, the dresses and fashion we flaunt, the trends and make-ups we present...

Being a Barbie on Duty means embracing these qualities while living responsibly. It is about loving yourself, pursuing your dreams, supporting your community, and standing strong in the face of challenges. Beauty and strength go hand in hand, the inner confidence of a woman is the real crown she wears. In schools, in homes, and in communities, young Filipinas continue to show that empowerment is not just in words, but in actions.

Sa buwang ito, ipinagdiriwang natin ang buwan ng mga KABABAIHAN. Mga taong sinasabi nilang dapat nasa bahay lang – taong hindi nararapat humawak ng posisyon o kung ano man sa lipunan. Ngunit sa nakalipas na digmaan dito sa ating mahal na inang bayan, maraming mga kababaihan ang naghirap at lumaban upang makamit ang inaasam na kalayaan, tulad na lamang nila Gabriela Silang, Teresa Magbanua, Gen. Agueda Kahabagan, Melchora Aquino o mas kilala bilang “Tandang Sora”, Josefa Llanes Escoda, at marami pang iba. Ilan lamang sila sa mga kilalang kababaihan na nagsakripisyo para sa bayan at para sa mga kababaihan.

Nagsimula ang lahat sa lansangan. Sa lansangan kung saan napuno ng mga kamaong pataas lumaban. Ang kalayaan at karapatan na tinatamasa nating mga kababaihan ngayon ay ibang-iba sa mga napagdaanan nila noon. Ang edukasyon, pagboto, at pagboses ay hindi madaling gawin sa panahon noon. Ngunit sa kasalukuyan, marami na ang mga kababaihang may posisyon sa iba’t-ibang hanay ng lipunan.

Marami mang pagsubok at masalimuot na hinarap, ito’y kinaya at nilampasan hanggang sa makamit ang kalayaang inasam. Sumibol man ito sa isang marahas na panahon, ngunit isa lang ang layunin at ito ay bigyang-karapatan at kalayaan ang mga kababaihan.
Tunay nga na kahanga-hanga ang tapang at determinasyon nila. Ang pagtindig sa gitna ng nagtataasang mandirigma, sila’y sumibol at namukadkad na parang rosas. Mga rosas na puti na kalauna’y naging p**a upang maipaglaban ka. Puti na nagrerepresenta ng mahinhin at pagka-inosente, ngunit mas naging matingkad na kasing-tulad ng p**ang rosas na sumisimbolo sa katapangan at dugo ng pagpupunyagi.

Katulad nina Concepcion Felix de Calderon at Josefa Llanes Escoda, mga kababaihang ipinaglaban ang karapatan nating mga kababaihan – karapatang bumoto, mag-aral, at maging isang pinuno. Mga kababaihang hindi lamang mahusay sa mga gawaing-bahay, kundi kaya rin palang lumaban at makipagsabayan sa ibang kasarian.

Ang pag-ibig ng isang babae ay parang isang sining ng paghahabi ng tela. Katulad na lamang ng pambansang kasuotan ng mga kababaihan, ang Filipiniana. Ang idea ng kasuotan na ito ay nagmula sa isang tanyag na babaeng mananahi noon, si Pacita Longos. Maging ang ating bandila ay isang sining na ibinurda ng tatlong dilag na sina Marcela Mariño de Agoncillo, Lorenza Agoncillo, at Delfina Herbosa de Natividad. Ang bandila na simbolo ng ating Kalayaan, ang pambansang kasuotan na simbolo ng ating pagkakakilanlan, sa likod nito ay ang mga kababaihan na buong puso ang pagmamahal sa ating Inang Bayan.

Ngunit, sa kabila ng kanilang mga natatangging ambag sa ating bansa at kasaysayan, ay nananatili silang nasa anino ng kanilang kasarian. Malimit na hinahalintulad sa isang salamin na bagama’t malinis ay marupok din. Nakatali sa lumang kaisipan na ang kanilang silbi lamang ay ang pagsisilbi at pagsunod sa kaniyang kabiyak. Walang Kalayaan na marating ang mataas na uri ng edukasyon o maging pinuno sa lipunan. Walang boses sa mga isyu na unti-unting sumisira sa ating pagkakakilanlan at bayang sinilangan. Malaya na nga tayo sa mga mananakop na bansa ngunit nakakulong pa rin sa makitid na paniniwala.

Sa makabagong panahon ay hindi pa rin nawawala ang likas na pusong mapagkalingan. Ngunit hindi tulad noon ay mas may alab na ang puso ng bawat kababaihan. Hindi na lamang mga simpleng damit ang kanilang hinahabi, bagkos ay mga kalasag na araw-araw nilang sinusuot sa pagharap sa mapanghusgang Lipunan. Ang mga kababaihan ngayon ay hindi na nabubuhay sa anino ng kanilang mga asawa. Ang mga kababaihan ngayon ay napatunayan ng kaya nilang mamuno ng isang bansa, kaya nilang maging boses ng bawat taong naaapi, kaya nila marating ang mataas na antas ng edukasyon. Higit sa lahat, ay kaya nilang tiisin ang hirap ng pagtatrabaho sa ibang bansa, kung saan ang kanilang katawan ay nasa malayo, ngunit ang kanilang puso at diwa ay nananatili sa mga taong naiwan nila dito sa Pilipinas.

Ang magkaibang henerasyon na daang-libo ang pagitan ay pinagbuklod ng matibay na sinulid ng pagmamahalan. Ang pag-ibig na bumago sa paglalarawan sa mga kababaihan. Ang pag-ibig na nagmulat sa lipunan na ang mga babae ay higit pa sa pisikal na ganda at marupok na damdamin. Sila, tayo, ay mga kababaihan na nagbibigay liwanag at tinig sa madalim na yugto nito makabagong daigdig.
