🌊 UPILON PHI SIGMA | COMMUNITY SERVICE 🌊

UPS Binalbagan Municipal Executive Council 0215-015 proudly stood together in the Coastal Clean-Up Drive spearheaded by the Marine Environmental Protection Unit – Southern Negros Occidental (MEPU-SNOC), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) along the shoreline of Brgy. Enclaro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.

In connection with IMO World Maritime Day and Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo), our brothers and sisters joined fellow volunteers in a collective effort to promote maritime awareness, environmental responsibility, and the protection of our coastal communities.

For Upsilon Phi Sigma, service is not simply an activity—it is a responsibility. Every piece of waste collected, every helping hand extended, and every volunteer who stood with us is a reminder that real brotherhood goes beyond words—it is demonstrated through action and service.

We extend our deepest gratitude to our Upsilon Phi Sigma Alumni – Binalbagan for their generous and unwavering support, especially for providing Arroz Caldo to our students and volunteers. In Loving Memory of Brod Jose “Bombay” Jimenez ’79

Brod Jose “Bombay” Jimenez was truly one of the pillars of the Phi Kappa Chapter – UNO-R. Throughout the years, he remained a loving, accommodating, and supportive brother, especially to the younger Upsilonians and students.

To many of us, Brod Bombay was more than a brother—he was a mentor, a father figure, and a source of wisdom and guidance. He welcomed everyone with warmth, treated the younger ones like his own family, and was always ready to lend a helping hand.

His kindness, humility, generosity, and genuine love for the brotherhood left a lasting mark on the lives of many. His presence will be deeply missed, but the values and memories he shared with us will continue to live on.

Salamat gid, Brod Bombay, for being a brother, a mentor, and a father to us all.

All members of Upsilon Phi Sigma are hereby reminded of the firm commitment of Upsilon Phi Sigma 1935 in upholding the laws of the Republic of the Philippines and maintaining the highest ethical standards across all chapters and councils.

In accordance with Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and the core principles of our Five Pillars — God, Family, Organization, Community, and Nation:

1. The use, possession, sale, distribution, or involvement in prohibited or dangerous drugs in any form is strictly prohibited. Every Upsilonian is obligated to respect and obey legal orders of duly constituted authorities and abide by all organizational rules and regulations.

2. Any involvement in illegal drug activity constitutes conduct prejudicial and inimical to the interest of the organization under Paragraph 2.4, Section 2, Article XIV of the 2025 UPS1935 Revised Constitution and By-Laws.

3. Pursuant to Section 7, Article IV and Article XIV of the Constitution and By-Laws, any member found violating national drug laws shall be subjected to due proceedings by the Commission on Justice. Proven violations shall serve as immediate grounds for the termination of membership and permanent expulsion from Upsilon Phi Sigma 1935.

All Chapter Archons, Council Chairpersons, and local officers are directed to disseminate this notice immediately within their respective jurisdictions and ensure strict compliance.

The Upsilon Phi Sigma – Student of Binalbagan proudly stood together in the Coastal Clean-Up Drive 2026, spearheaded by the Philippine Coast Guard, in celebration of Maritime Month 2026 and the Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo).

Anchored on the theme:

🇵🇭 “Karapatan sa Karagatan, Sama-sama Nating Alagaan.” 🇵🇭

Together with the PNP Maritime – Himamaylan and Himamaylan CENRO, our brothers joined hands in protecting our coastal environment and promoting responsibility for our seas.

This is more than just a clean-up. It is service, responsibility, and brotherhood in action.

As Upsilonians, our commitment to the community does not end with a single activity. Our service continues. Our brotherhood remains steadfast. And our willingness to help the community will always be present.
