𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐚 is a 𝟐𝐃 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫 that combines platforming with music and sound recognition. Players identify musical notes based on their pitch—from low to high—to reveal the correct platform and progress through each level, putting their listening skills, timing, and decision-making to the test. 🎵🎮

This achievement marks the first competition of our current officers, making this milestone even more meaningful for the 𝐔𝐏𝐇𝐒𝐋 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛. From bringing an idea to life to developing, designing, testing, and finally showcasing it on a competitive stage, Fermata represents the creativity, teamwork, and determination behind the team. 💙

Every conversation, every piece of advice, and every experience inspired us to keep learning, improving, and creating games that we can proudly call our own. The knowledge and motivation we gained throughout this event will continue to guide us as we work on future projects and pursue new opportunities.

As one chapter closes, another begins. PGDX 2026 has become the starting point for even bigger events, stronger collaborations, and exciting opportunities that the UPHSL Game Developers Club looks forward to in the future.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 was all about expanding our horizons and connecting with the global game development community.

Throughout the expo, our officers had the incredible opportunity to meet and interact with game developers, studio representatives, and industry professionals from 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚, 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬. Every conversation gave us a fresh perspective on the industry, from different development approaches and creative processes to the passion that unites game developers around the world.

One of the most rewarding parts of the experience was receiving valuable feedback and advice from industry professionals. Their insights, suggestions, and encouragement gave us a better understanding of how we can improve our skills and refine our ideas. These learnings will serve as a strong foundation as we continue developing our future game projects and strive to create better gaming experiences.

Beyond showcasing games, 𝐏𝐆𝐃𝐗 became a place where meaningful connections were made. We exchanged ideas, learned from experienced professionals, and discovered opportunities that continue to inspire our journey as aspiring game developers.

From 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟒–𝟐𝟔, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, the 𝐔𝐏𝐇𝐒𝐋 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 proudly attended the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐃𝐞𝐯 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 (𝐏𝐆𝐃𝐗) at the 𝐒𝐌𝐗 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫, one of the country's biggest events celebrating game development, innovation, and the gaming industry.

Day 1 marked the beginning of an exciting three-day journey filled with learning, networking, and discovering the latest innovations in game development.

Through our partnership with 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐲𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨, led by 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐨—𝐂𝐄𝐎 𝐨𝐟 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐲𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨 and former UPHSL GDC President (A.Y. 2025–2026)—our officers had the opportunity to connect with game developers, studios, and industry professionals from both the Philippines and abroad. This collaboration reflects how a student-led organization can build meaningful connections with companies and the professional game development community.

PGDX provided valuable opportunities to learn from industry experts, discover emerging technologies, and expand our network from the national to the international stage.
