He didn’t lead armies. He led minds. He questioned loudly in silence, wrote bravely in truth, and stood for dignity when it was dangerous to do so.

He died young, but lived with purpose. Not just for freedom — But for a future where every Filipino could think freely, feel deeply, and believe — without fear — that they were worthy of dignity, justice, and a life they could call their own.

Today, we don’t just honor the hero. We ask ourselves: Am I living the courage he once lived?

Rizal isn’t just history. He’s the mirror we still look into.

Today, we honor the bravery, sacrifice, and fearless hearts of the Filipino soldiers and civilians who fought for our freedom. Araw ng Kagitingan, or the Day of Valor, is more than just a commemoration—it is a reminder of the strength, resilience, and courage that define our nation.

Let us take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices of those who came before us, whose unwavering determination paved the way for the freedoms we enjoy today. May their heroism inspire us to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, and perseverance in our daily lives.

May we all carry the same spirit of valor in our hearts, standing strong in the face of challenges and striving for a better, stronger Philippines.
