With rebuttals more powerful than a sword to defenses as strong as a shield, Diskurso Lasalyano members engaged in an energetic debate in the British Parliamentary format! ⚔️

4 teams battled it out through two different motions, and all teams debated passionately as they stood up for their stances through proper discourse!

Debating isn't just about winning arguements; it's about understanding different perspectives, developing critical thinkers who can use their voice for good, a mission that Diskurso Lasalyano is proud to have.

💬✨ Voices of Reason 2025: A Two-Day Journey of Critical Thinking and Fair Judgment

What a REASON-able and FAIR-tastic two days that was! 🧠⚖️

From fiery arguments to thoughtful judgments, “Voices of Reason: Strengthening Critical Thinking and Fair Judgment through Debate and Adjudication” brought ideas to life and voices to the forefront.

💚 Day 1 challenged us to speak with confidence through The Basics of Debate Workshop led by the insightful Mr. Reyzandro Unay II and Mr. Mezen Lababidi, reminding us that every argument begins with understanding.

💚 Day 2 trained our minds to think beyond persuasion in The Adjudication Workshop with the brilliant Mr. Jose Mari Gabriel R. Tumanan and Ms. Kara Elise M. Porciuncula, who showed us the power of fair and reasoned judgment.

Massive thanks to the La Salle Debate Society for providing such outstanding speakers, and to everyone from Diskurso Lasalyano who made this two-day learning experience possible, from the organizing committee to every participant who spoke, judged, or simply listened with curiosity.

Two days. Four inspiring voices. Endless insights.

Are you ready to experience and learn about debating from some of the most seasoned Lasallian Debaters 🗣? Then, make sure to join Diskurso Lasalyano's FIRST EVER debate workshop, open to all DLSU Senior High School students 🏹!

Diskurso Lasalyano is proud to be collaborating with DLSU Debate Society for this event that will introduce the art of debating and critical thinking, one argument at a time! The Diskurso Lasalyano Basic Debate and Adjudication Workshop is an inclusive capacity-building program designed to develop Lasallians’ skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and fair judgment. Open to both members and students from other clubs and organizations 💚!

As we close this chapter, we're deeply grateful to everyone who made the effort to join our casual farewell meeting. Your presence, laughter, and voices made our last day truly meaningful. This may be the end of a term, but the fire of Diskurso will keep burning — and we're excited to see what's next!
