"Elevating the Standards of the Philippine Marching Arts to the Global Stage"
The year 2025 has been a landmark year for The Philippine Drum and Associates Inc. (PDLAI). Through strategic international partnerships, the rigorous certification of adjudicators, and the expansion of local chapters, the organization has solidified its position as the premier governing body for drum and lyre and marching ensembles in the Philippines.
With a growing membership of 120 new applicants and the establishment of new regional chapters, PDLAI continues to foster a culture of discipline, musicality, and community across the archipelago.

I. Major National Events & Strategic Planning
This year, PDLAI hosted and facilitated high-level events that set new benchmarks for the marching arts in the country. 32 Local events.
โข PDLAI National Competition (June 7): Held at the Ynares Sports Center, Antipolo City, this event featured 31 bands from various chapters. Sanctioned by the Asian Marching Band Confederation (AMBC), it is recognized as the highest standard of competition in the Philippines.
โข PDLAI Music Championship - Bacoor (Oct 29): A multi-category event in the "Marching Band Capital" featuring Individual, Duo, Ensemble, and Battle categories.
โข Midterm Assessment & Strategic Planning (July 5-6): Conducted in Los Baรฑos, Laguna, focusing on long-term growth and chapter management.
โข National Leadership: National President Sir Le Bron Gene Gallano took his oath as the Vice President Internal of the Marching Band Organization of the Philippines (Sept 27).

II. International Achievements & Global Presence
PDLAI has successfully bridged the gap between local talent and international excellence.
โข Jember Marching Carnival, Indonesia (Nov 16): The Magnificent Drum Corps represented the Philippines and PDLAI, securing a Championship Title in this prestigious Asian competition.
โข Piala Raja, Indonesia (Oct 11): PDLAI Certified Judges and Board of Directors served as international adjudicators, showcasing Filipino expertise on the world stage.
โข Judges Training & Certification (June 1-2): 72 candidates underwent rigorous training under Sehat Kurniawan Saiman (President of AMBC), receiving international certification from AMBC and WMBO.
โข International Cultural Band Camp (Apr 27): PDLAI Board members participated in Jakarta, Indonesia, alongside bands from across Asia and Dubai.

Oct 12 Calbayog City, Samar New partnership established in the Eastern Visayas Region.
Oct 6 Zamboanga City Chapter AMBC Sanctioned event using international systems.
Oct 2 Bacoor Marching Field Show Headed by PDLAI; Sanctioned by AMBC.
July 23 Pililla Marching Band Competition Adjudicated by PDLAI Certified Judges.
June 30 DepEd Bacoor City Mass competition joined by 32 local schools.
June 29 Dingalan (Aurora) & Lamitan (Basilan) Simultaneous events spanning Central Luzon to Mindanao.
Apr 29 Bantayog Festival (CamNorte) Sanctioned by PDLAI and adjudicated by certified judges.

IV. Organizational Growth & Membership
The success of PDLAI's programs has led to an unprecedented surge in interest from the marching arts community:
โข New Members: 120+ applicants including Band Directors from local and overseas units.
โข Chapter Expansion: Successful installation of the Ilo-ilo City Chapter (June 23) and new developments in Bicol and Samar.
โข Education: Conducted the District 1 Summer Music Camp in Zamboanga City (May 14-18).

Note: The integration of the AMBC and WMBO judging systems into local competitions has drastically improved the technical proficiency of Filipino performers, making them more competitive in the international arena.
