While many sought refuge in evacuation centers, others in Barangay Malaban and Delapaz remained in their homes—weathering the storm with quiet resilience. This relief mission was for them: the unseen, the unwavering, the unheard.

With sincere gratitude, we thank Tanging Yaman Foundation, in partnership with Community Organizers Multiversity - CO Multiversity, for making this outreach possible.

Sulong Kabataan, under the Pederasyon ng Maralitang Mamamayan ng Biñan (PMMB), is proud to have extended help to those deeply affected by the recent typhoon. This mission wasn’t just about delivering aid—it was about bringing comfort, dignity, and hope straight to their doorsteps.

Today, Sulong Kabataan, in partnership with the Pederasyon ng mga Maralitang Mamamayan ng Biñan (PMMB), and in collaboration with JGF and CO Multiversity, conducted a hot meals initiative for evacuees at Malaban Main and Malaban East Elementary School. This initiative affirms our continued commitment to community care, recognizing that even the simplest meals can bring comfort and nourishment in times of hardship.

Standing with the Community in Times of Need
Despite the ongoing floods in Zone 5 and 6, Pantalan Street, Bgy. Malaban, many families were unable to evacuate and continue to face difficult conditions.

Sulong Kabataan reached out by distributing food to some of the affected residents, offering support and solidarity during these challenging times.

This effort was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Ma’am Cynthia Mercado, Ate Vanessa, Ate Ezzel, and kuya Bryan whose kindness helped us bring relief to those still in need.

Together, we remain committed to serving our communities — especially those left behind.

We are officially calling for monetary and in-kind donations such as clothes, medicines, and packed goods. We will ensure that transparency and accountable actions will be practiced.

With the continuous rainfall and flooding in different parts of Barangay Malaban, many residents were forced to evacuate their areas, specifically to ensure their safety and security.

The calamity has caused many families to struggle with their shelters and necessities. Therefore, SIKLAB-Malaban would like to introduce our donation drive initiative for the affected residents, in partnership with Sulong Kabataan Para Sa Kaunlaran .

𝐑𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐑𝐃𝐍𝐀)

SULONG KABATAAN PARA SA KAUNLARAN (SKK), with partner organizations Pederasyon ng mga Maralitang Mamamayan ng Biñan (PMMB), Community Organizers Multiversity (COM), Oxfam Pilipinas and ACCESS, conducted a Rapid Damage and Needs Assessment (RDNA) in the affected areas of Malaban and Dela Paz in Biñan City. This joint initiative aims to assess the immediate and long-term needs of vulnerable communities recently impacted by flooding and other hazards. Through community visits, data gathering, and on-ground observation, the team engaged directly with local residents to understand their current situation and the risks they continue to face.

The assessment serves as a vital step toward crafting a more effective and responsive action plan for disaster preparedness and community resilience. By working hand in hand with grassroots organizations and residents, the team emphasizes the importance of inclusive, youth-led, and community-centered efforts in addressing the growing challenges of climate change and urban vulnerability. The findings from this activity will guide future interventions and advocacy for safer, more resilient communities in Biñan.
