Laughter echoed through the halls of Mt. Ararat Elementary School as eighty young learners received more than giftsโthey experienced kindness, hope, and the assurance that their police officers stand not only as protectors but as partners in building a better future.
In celebration of the 31st Police Community Relations (PCR) Month, the Bayugan Component City Police Station (CCPS) conducted a meaningful outreach activity on July 23, 2026, reaffirming that genuine public service is measured not only by maintaining peace and order but by touching lives where it matters most.
The activity was spearheaded by PMAJ KRISTOPHER NIEL M. NONO, Deputy Chief of Police, under the supervision of PLTCOL JOSEF CARLO V. SILANG, Chief of Police, whose leadership continues to strengthen the bond between the Philippine National Police and the community through programs rooted in compassion, service, and trust.
Joining this shared mission were the dedicated personnel of the Philippine National Police โ Special Action Force (PNP SAF) led by PLT LIMAR PACLOS, Team Leader; Barkada Kontra Bisyo (BKB) under the guidance of Mr. Justin D**a, Adviser; and Kabataan Kontra Droga at Terorismo (KKDAT) led by its President, Mr. Jonathan F. Gabais.
Together, they transformed an ordinary school day into an unforgettable experience. The pupils received gift packs, new pairs of slippers, packed lunches, and enjoyed the much-awaited โPa-Ice Cream ni Sirโ, bringing smiles that reflected the true spirit of community and generosity.
More than providing assistance, the outreach empowered the children with knowledge that could one day save lives. Through engaging lectures and practical demonstrations on earthquake preparedness and active-shooter response, the participants learned the importance of staying alert, calm, and prepared during emergenciesโan investment in resilience that extends beyond the classroom.
The success of the outreach was made possible through the invaluable support of HIBISCUS OPC Catering Services, the City Health Office (CHO) of Bayugan City, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Mt. Ararat, and Mt. Ararat Elementary School, whose collaboration exemplifies the power of unity in serving the community.
This initiative serves as a powerful reminder that Police Community Relations is not merely a month-long celebrationโit is a continuing commitment to build trust, inspire hope, and strengthen partnerships between the police and the people they serve.
As the Bayugan CCPS continues to reach beyond the badge, it reaffirms its unwavering dedication to creating communities where every child feels protected, every family feels valued, and every partnership becomes a foundation for a safer, stronger, and more resilient Bayugan.
