The 3rd year students from different majors of the College of Agriculture successfully conducted a meaningful seminar entitled Think, Write, Own: Building Excellence in Agricultural Research Writing with the theme, “Encouraging Critical Thinking, Ethical AI Use, and Genuine Ownership through Proper Paraphrasing and Plagiarism Detection.”

The seminar aimed to help students better understand the importance of responsible and ethical research writing in today’s academic environment. As Artificial Intelligence continues to become part of education, the activity highlighted the proper and ethical use of AI, effective paraphrasing, plagiarism detection, and the value of honesty and integrity in research and thesis writing.

The program also reminded students that excellence in research is not only about intelligence, but also about responsibility, hard work, and authenticity in every written output.

Students and participants were honored by the presence of distinguished speakers who generously shared their knowledge and expertise. Carla P. Daguio discussed plagiarism detection and the proper use of Turnitin in academic writing. Meanwhile, Elber A. Sana shared valuable discussions on Artificial Intelligence and the fundamentals of scientific paper writing. Josefina S. Sana also inspired students through her discussion on writing ownership and proper paraphrasing.

The seminar became a great platform for students to strengthen their critical thinking skills and uphold academic integrity in every research endeavor. Through activities like this, future researchers and writers are encouraged to think critically, write responsibly, and proudly own their work with honesty and excellence.

Welcome Back, Mga Kalabaw!: NVSU Animal Science Students Return from PCC-CLSU OJT Stronger, Smarter, and More ‘Bull’-d Ready

The Animal Science students of Nueva Vizcaya State University_ Bayombong campus have officially returned to the institution after successfully completing their one-month On-the-Job Training (OJT) at the Philippine Carabao Center. During their stay at PCC, the trainees enhanced their practical skills in semen collection and evaluation, bull management, carabao herd build-up, fattening, and growing operations. They were also exposed to technical and field activities that strengthened their knowledge in livestock production systems, animal handling, and reproductive management under the guidance of PCC professionals and staff.

As part of the culmination of the program, the students conducted a presentation during the Exit Conference held on May 4, 2026, where they shared the activities, experiences, and valuable learnings they obtained throughout their one-month training. The trainees also proudly received their certificates of completion, marking another milestone in their academic journey and preparing them to become competent future professionals in the field of Animal Science.
