A Successful Celebration of Culture and Movement

The Folk Dance Seminar-Workshop, organized by the NVSU – College of Teacher Education, Department of Physical Education, in collaboration with the Philippine Folk Dance Society (PFDS) – Nueva Vizcaya Local Chapter, was successfully conducted on December 4–5, 2025, at the NVSU Gymnasium.

This two-day event brought together educators, students, cultural advocates, and dance enthusiasts in a meaningful exchange of knowledge, rhythm, and tradition. Through enriching lectures, dynamic workshops, and interactive demonstrations, participants gained a deeper appreciation of our folk dance heritage—honoring the dances of the past while embracing the steps of the future.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all resource persons, facilitators, commitee members, dance demonstrators/instrumentalists, participants, and University Officials for their unwavering support and active engagement.

Your dedication made this cultural endeavor not only successful but truly memorable.
Let us continue promoting, preserving, and celebrating Philippine folk dance for generations to come.

We would like to inform you that we have successfully renewed our registration during the 43rd National Folkdance Workshop held in the City of Koronadal, South Cotabato.

Although our officers were not able to attend this year’s national workshop, we remain committed to continuing the initiatives we have started. Let us also continue to support and promote the Samahang Tagapagtaguyod ng Katutubong Sayaw ng Pilipinas Foundation, Inc. and our Local Chapter.
