[In Photos] The Builders officially welcomes the new academic year with its Kick-Off Event, themed RESET: FINDING FRESH HOPE WITH CHRIST, last Tuesday evening, September 9, 2025, at Cottage 2 (Jacob's Well), VSU Lower Campus.
With more than eighty participants, the Builders welcomed new and returning members to their gathering place, where they engaged in worship, played fun games, and most importantly, reflected in God's Word, delivered by Ptr. Joshua Jireh Salomon, senior pastor of Christ Baptist Church.
First-timers were introduced to the workings of The Builders as an organization aiming to evangelize and disciple students, building up in love, towards excellence and Christlikeness. The organization's advisers and main officers, who will take the helm of leading the organization in fulfilling its goals, were also introduced and prayed over by the event speaker, Ptr. Jireh.
The event highlights the importance of a refresh from the pressures and struggles of the fast life in the present, discovering and rooting oneself in the abundant, everlasting hope given by Jesus Christ through a personal relationship with Him, and fellowshipping with fellow Christians who strive toward the same goal: to reset, to surrender, and to be transformed from the inside-out with the Lord.
Senior Builders, along with volunteering members of CBC, led newcomers in dwelling on these truths during their discussion time, recalling and realizing the weight of the message from God's Word. Everyone was then filled spiritually and physically, as dinner was distributed for free after the discussion.
The Builders would like to thank the members from Christ Baptist Church, who led the discussions with the students with God-given wisdom, and the SPICS (Single Professionals in Christ's Service), who were the backup force during the organization of this event.
Lastly, we'd like to thank the participants who joined our Kick-Off event! We hope you had a great time fellowshipping with us, and that we'll see you again! The Builders have more in store.
