As we observe ๐‹๐š๐›๐จ๐ซ ๐ƒ๐š๐ฒ to honor the collective hard work of our community, we also celebrate a special day of a woman whose lifeโ€™s work has redefined environmental conservation: ๐ƒ๐ซ. ๐๐š๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ข๐š ๐Œ๐ข๐ฅ๐š๐ง.

Today marks the ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ—๐ญ๐ก ๐›๐ข๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐๐š๐ฒ of a true environmental steward, the "Mother of Rainforestation,โ€ and the first woman president of Visayas State University.

In honor of her legacy, a coastal clean-up was organized in collaboration with the Association of Viscan Environmental Science Students (AVESS). For the students, it was more than just a volunteer activityโ€”it was an opportunity to engage in impactful work alongside the renowned scientist who continues to inspire their advocacy.
