In support of our very own Lyra Angela Temperatura, the City of Bayawan invites all Bayawanons to come together and show their unwavering support as she represents our beloved city in Hara sa Negros Oriental 2026!

๐€ ๐…๐‘๐„๐„ ๐‚๐ˆ๐“๐˜ ๐๐”๐’ ๐‘๐ˆ๐ƒ๐„ will be provided for supporters who wish to witness and cheer for Lyra during the event!

Celebrating Culture. Honoring Our Roots. โค๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ

As Lyra Angela Temperatura continues her journey to the crown in Hara sa Negros Oriental 2026, she takes time to appreciate the rich culture, traditions, and way of life of Bayawanโ€™s Indigenous Peoples (IP) community.

Through this meaningful cultural encounter, Lyra joins in celebrating the people who continue to preserve their heritage, pass down their traditions, and keep their cultural identity alive through generations.

Their stories, dances, and traditions are an important part of Bayawanโ€™s identity. They remind us that our cityโ€™s beauty is not only found in its natural wonders, but also in the people, cultures, and traditions that make our community unique.

In celebration of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) and its continuing efforts to protect and promote the rights and cultural heritage of Indigenous Peoples, we honor the communities whose traditions remain an important part of who we are.

As Lyra Angela Temperatura continues her journey to the crown in Hara sa Negros Oriental 2026, she also gets to showcase one of the things that makes Bayawan special โ€” our very own colorful hablon.

Made from cotton grown right here in our city, each piece reflects the hard work and skill of our local farmers and weavers. With the support of PhilFIDA, and the dedication of local groups like NAFA and the Narra RIC, Bayawanโ€™s cotton is turned into beautiful fabric that carries a story of its own.

More than just a piece of cloth, our hablon represents the people behind it โ€” the farmers who grow the cotton, the weavers who bring it to life, and the families whose livelihoods depend on this craft.

As Lyra takes on this journey, weโ€™re proud to share not just her story, but also the talent, hard work, and local pride that make Bayawan what it is.
