In strengthening the mental health of learners, the Peer Communication and Collaboration Circle, in partnership of Guidance ambassador, conducted a mental health program themed, "๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ก๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง: ๐๐ญ๐ซ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก๐๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก ๐๐๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ฒ๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐
๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐", on October 28, 2025, highlighting the mentally inspiring messages of remarkable speakers, ๐๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ญ. ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ซ๐๐จ ๐. ๐๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐จ, ๐๐ซ., Dean, Student Services and Alumni, ๐๐ซ. ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐ซ๐จ๐๐จ, Coordinator, Admission and Guidance Services, ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ข๐ ๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐. ๐๐ช๐ฎ๐ข๐ง๐จ, Guidance Personnel (CAST), ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ฒ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐, Guidance Personnel (CTE), ๐๐ฌ. ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐. ๐๐จ๐๐ฅ, Guidance Personnel (CTE), and ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ง๐จ. ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐๐ข๐จ ๐๐ซ, Guidance Personnel (IN).
This purposeful initiative highlights the importance of healthy mental health for everyone through peer counseling and psychological first aid. As Sir Oliver Laroco, Co-adviser of PCCC, aptly stated, "๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ '๐ฆ๐๐๐ ๐ก๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐๐๐ โ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐โ๐๐๐ ๐กโ๐๐ก". As we all know, every person experiences their own difficulties in life that might negatively affect their psychological well-being, leading to serious mental conditions.
Serving as a preventive measure, this meaningful program is intended to help students to control and overcome their fears and doubts, emphasizing certain actions to take and consider in navigating different situations they will encounter.
Beyond awareness, the activity also became a reminder that no one is ever truly alone in their battles. Sometimes, all it takes is one listening ear, one comforting presence, or one genuine "kumusta ka?" to make someone feel seen and heard. Through peer counseling, learners are encouraged not just to listenโbut to understand, to empathize, and to stand beside one another in silence and support.
The program is more than just a talk; it's a movement that aims to break the stigma surrounding mental health. It teaches that seeking help is not a sign of weakness but an act of courage and self-love. As Ms. Abigail P. Aquino beautifully expressed, "๐ป๐๐๐๐ ๐๐โ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐โ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ก๐ข๐๐๐๐." Sometimes, healing begins the moment we admit that we need it.
Because at the end of the day, taking care of your mind is also building your future. Healing starts when empathy turns into actionโand when we finally realize that asking for help doesn't make us fragile, it makes us human.
