The American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC), in partnership with Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 2485, respectfully invites you to attend the National POW/MIA Recognition Day Commemoration on Sunday, 20 September 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cabanatuan American Memorial, Pangatian, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija.

This annual commemoration honors the brave service members who served their countries and endured the hardships of captivity as prisoners of war, as well as those who served and remain missing in action. It is a solemn occasion to remember their courage, sacrifice, and dedication to duty, while honoring the families and comrades who continue to preserve their memory.

As we gather, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that the service and sacrifice of those who served, whether they have returned home or remain unaccounted for, are never forgotten.

Your presence would be deeply appreciated as we join members of the military and veterans’ community, government representatives, partner organizations, and other guests in paying tribute to those who served and sacrificed.

We sincerely hope that you will be able to join us for this meaningful occasion. Kindly confirm your attendance at your earliest convenience.

For additional information about the event, please see the announcement from VFW Post 2485: VFW Post 2485 Event Announcement.

Due to logistical considerations, a limited number of three floral wreaths will be available for the commemoration.

For further information or inquiries, please contact us at [email protected].

Thank you, and we look forward to your presence as we come together to honor and remember our POW/MIA service members.
